August 15th, 11:00 Am, 1940
We took the coast in hours and did not let up or march as we moved inland, the first couple of miles where easy but as we advanced we hit more defensive lines.
I moved to the front and tried to attract as much fire as I could in the mech, which was equipped with 4 AA gun on the shoulders. While the main armies began taking the major roads and closest cities, our main objective Carentan is a port town and a rail hub for the Norman peninsula which if we take we would cut off part of the Nazis north of us.
I in Liberty prime would be attacking as AA support and artillery as I didn't want to cause to much damage to the town as we needed it as a FOB and it would allow Our guys to unload here rather than just off the coast.
Carentan is held by 2 parachute infantry battalions 2 Ost infantry battalions, 2 panzergrenadier battalions, 1 Panzer battalion with assault guns. 3,000 ish soldiers and 20 tanks and other light armored vehicles.
The Ost are Russian POWs that had joined the Nazis after capture or were/are forced to fight under threat of their families or fellow soldiers death.
The commander when we neared the town sent a couple of mages to scout, locate the tanks then place a metric shit load of exotic explosives. When they return I would launch a plasma ball at the main base just to be safe, then the ground forces would take the city.
While they scouted, the forge decided now would be a roll
And a PIP Boy appears on my arm filled with blueprints and schematics for everything that was made in the fallout Verse by human hands, now unlike my previous perk which was theoretical knowledge this is straight up guide.
My musings on the future and mass production of robots and plasma weapons. As a loud *Boom* and arcs of lighting from side of town I then lined my shot up and let loose two 12 foot in diameter balls of plasma.
The ground troops then began o clear the town of Nazi, the OST were ill equipped but the regular troops fought us for every block. Snipers hidden throughout the town, quick and dirty traps made from grenades tried together paced in glass jars.
Most of the Nazis would flee south which we were annoyed to allow but we couldn't afford to take prisoners as we needed to keep moving. The town would fall within hours, I would set Liberty Prime to AI mode let it patrol the city while I looked through the PIP boy and the available blueprints.
August 16th, 1940
The next day was the same we continued to push forward taking towns and cities as we progressed meeting with allied French saboteurs who had blown Nazi ammunition dumps with magic help.
The Nazi mages where few and far between as word had spread that Gellert and the Nazis where having internal trouble, since a number of mages had killed their fellow soldiers for being just "muggles".
On our side Muggle born wizards where seen as Hero's to the nations 1,000s came forward telling the way they were treated by the upper class nobles and their bravery in battle.
After the initial invasion force the allied command changed the way units are set up making sure at least one mage was present.

In the coming years the education of mages would become nationalized and most of the population would have access to at least some level of magic, as with the uses of D&D styles anyone has magic.

100s of mages would be recruited in the logistics division acting a resource drops for ammunition and supplies allowing the front to push ever further.
I would eventually hand off my mech to those on the front and head back to the island to work on building new technologies.
