Chapter 7 - CH5

July 1st, 1940

As I sat in my living room contemplating poisoning a 13 year old the forge decided to drop a rather pretty Tech Priest in my home.

I just sighed and poured more whiskey, she collected herself looked around the room and then to me.

Stineag Beitean-"Hello I am Engineseer Stineag Beitean of Mars it is nice to meet you."

She spoke with a deep Scottish accent like Merida from brave, I also gestured for her to take a seat as I poured her a glass of whiskey.

Rin-"Your my first assistant from the forge, so I really do not know how much information it gave you about what is going on. Also, my name is Dr. Ringean Blár head of the Magical and Mundane research division of The British Empire."

Stin took her drink and took a sip-"The Forge gave me a decent information on what is happening on Terra but no I.D here." She sounded annoyed about that, probably realizing we will have to jump through some hoops to get her a I.D.

Rin-"That's fine I can figure something out, to get you an I.D. So tell me about yourself, what era did you leave from, and what do you specialize in." While we talked I began to write some ideas of getting her an I.D

Sin-"Well I was born on Mars but Raised on a Templar Planet, I joined one of the exudes fleets that left during the age of strife we landed on a planet that had been colonized by a number of Celtic people who had regressed to about the medieval ages.

Our leader who was a radical even for back then wanted us to unite the planet and actually STUDY the tech we found and understand it not just keep it running.

With our advance tech we were able to unite the planet and began to build massive research institutions that studied everything we brought from Mars from Las-guns to Warp engines.

This is where I proved myself, I studied everything they would let me and with my custom implants I was able to download every bit of information we had gathered.

We were one of the last forge world to be brought into the Empire of Man which is when I left. I saw how things were leading and I did not like them, no progress only stagnation.

As for what I specialize in I really enjoy Rocketry and Heavy weapons. Both because the idea of the enemy Xeno not having any idea where you and suddenly getting blown apart is really funny." She giggled at that idea which was slightly arousing and scary at the same time.

Rin-"Did the Forge give you knowledge of what the Empire of Man became?"

Stin just nodded sadly and shot back her drink, she leaned back into her chair and sighed as we both sat. I thought about a couple different way to get her an I.D one was Goblins as supposedly pureblood wizards would need I.D sometimes.

The other was Stewart who could easily make her an I.D because he will probably have to do that for a couple of his Agents he was getting ahold of. But I will have to explain to him where she came from, which is rather complicated as I'll have to either make something up or tell him about the Forge.

Rin-"So, for your I.D I know two ways; one is to get in contact with the magical side of Britain and get you and ID but you will have to get a magical core through the Forge. The other is to call my boss and get him to make you one but I'll have to explain the Forge to him. I'll let you think on it but I need to know in the morning."

Stin nodded, she changed to subject to lighter topics about what level of technology we had available, and when she could work on some tech as she though the fallout style tech was very interesting.

After talking for awhile, she began to think on what she wanted to introduce to the military first. I said she should jump start ICBMs, as the Germans are just looking into using them now.

While she thought developing a mechanized artillery would be useful, not mech levels or anything yet but she did like the idea of diesel mechs or fission when we get the infrastructure their. As I did have a prototype Fusion Core built recently that I had to show Stewart soon.

She had an interesting Idea about fortress Britain where we put heavy weapons all along the coast and even be able to fire on Normandy Beach with heavy shells.

We did go to bed around midnight after talking and designing over a couple bottles of alcohol, for it our designs had a more over the top feel to them we even began to make a Pip Boy for us to use.

While we drank the forge activated and I got a BIG perk

-Resource Generator (Toaruverse) (100CP)

Buying materials and resources cost too much time and manpower, especially if the materials or resources that you need are limited or rare. You gain a warehouse full of materials and resources no matter how common to how rare it is that you need to build any technology that you want. It replenishes used materials every twenty-four hours after you take it out the warehouse, additionally it records and replenishes any materials that you add in your warehouse. After the jump it would become a warehouse add-on or be inserted near your starting location.

——————————————————————————

When I woke up the next morning I moved my personal AAD which was using way more advanced parts and could make anything 50 by 50 square. Now I could pretty much make anything infinite times, I got it started on making a variety of medical, office, and other odds and ends for the Drumcolm for when I get the base set up. (1960s era stuff as we did not want to explain to much about where I got a lot of this stuff.

While making breakfast Stin came down along with here a number of Servitor skulls beeping and bopping.

Rin-"Good morning Stin, breakfast will be ready soon coffe in already on the table." I received a mumble thanks as one of her skulls floated over and poured her a cup as she sat at the table.

Rin-"Here we are a Souther style American breakfast the best hangover cure. Sausage Biscuits and Gravy, Fried potatoes, and Orange juice all given by the forge thanks to a new perk."

Stin who had never had most of these foods due to their extinction over a millennia ago and she practically inhaled the food. After having her full I asked her if she made her choice about her I.D.

Stin-"As much as it pains me I'll go with the Psyker, it will allow us to hide the forge for longer and will allow me to have access to a number of skills."

I went to forge and pulled the book from the shelf on the forge and when she touched it she suddenly gained 7 years of education and a wand. Thus we knew what we were going to do today we were going to Gringotts to buy her an I.D in both areas.

Before heading out I called a couple of mundane born people to see if they would meet us after we wen to the bank.

——————————————————————————

With having a rather decent sized account in the Bank we were able to get back to my account manager rather easy. To get her I.D was actually really just a couple drops of blood and signing some paper work and thus Dr. Stineag Beitean a full citizen of the British Empire was born.

The group of mundane born was meeting us at a near by pub in a private rooms they had their. Meeting us their is

Sonny Webb, who graduated and received his masters in rune matrixes but has to work in the mundane world in a factory as the ministry banded his studies on merging Mundane and magic.

Levi Macdonald, a mountain of a man early on in his time at Hogwarts found a book on Martial magic that allowed him to basically become a super soldier. He actually works a bouncer in Knockturn ally for a brothel.

Sia Moss, a mathematical genius who has mastery in Arithmacy and spell development. She actually works for the mundane government for code breaking.

Lily-Mae Ball, is a Potion Mistress and a genius one at that. Her parents are chemists in the mundane world and she began to blend the two to make cures available to the mundane world. She was forced to stop under threat of arrest.

Levi-"Well look who it is, Mr genius." He spoke in a deep voice from the midlands.

Lily-"Yes, he hasn't spoken to us in years and surely writes us out of the blue."

Rin-"Yes yes, I'm sorry for not writing but I had placed a block on my memory of the magical world years ago and it just recently broke."

Sia-"Christ Rin, that is insane you could of wiped yourself. We will talk about that later but for now who is this beside you."

Sonny-"Yeah did you finally settle down."

Rin-"No, this is my partner Dr. Stineag Beitean she works with me in R&D for the War in the Mad science Department up in Scotland."

Sia-"Holy shit, you guys work at mad house. I over heard a couple of things about that place, those AADs were made their my husband works with the scrap gathers."

Rin-"Yeah that Place, I actually built that thing."

Levi-"Christ man I knew you were smart but not that smart."

Stin-"That actually is the reason we are here, we are here on the behalf of the British government to invite you to start a magical only division of the military."

Levi perked up at that he wanted to join up but he was worried that he would break the Statutory of Secrete.

Rin-"Our boss brought the idea to the King and Churchill, they both wanted it yesterday as your skills would be a great boon to the war effort.

You will be using the most advanced equipment known to man, you will be fighting both magical and mundane Nazis. Or you will be developing and studying anything we can get our hands on, magical or mundane."

The four of them looked back and forth at each other having a silent conversation.

Sonny-"Were do we sign up."

We would visit with each other and agreed they would come to a meeting hall outside London, while bringing as many other mundane and halfbloods as they could and speak to Stewart about the division as he had been planning with the King and Churchill in recruiting Mundane born people.

——————————————————————————

Stin and I made our way to the Facility for her to meet Stewart and the rest of the facility.

Rin-"The meeting went well, they are going to speak to some people about getting them to the Hall. But, besides that I would like you to meet Dr. Stineag Beitean her and I went to Hogwarts together, she also is one of the smartest people I have ever met when it comes to Rockets and heavy weapons. She also brought a couple of blueprints over designs that would defend the Island."

Stewart-"A pleasure dear, that is some high praise from Dr. Blár and excuse me if I am being rude but I am surprised as most wizards are not the most innovative bunch."

Stin-"That is alright Sir, that mostly applies to "pure" bloods but most mundane born are quite innovative they just have been blocked so many times.

Anyway, this is Triceratops a artillery gun that can fire a little over 200 miles meaning our boys could be sitting on the coast and firing on France.

Next is the Mars cannon it is self propelled artillery that can fire faster than any of the current artillery available to the British military.

Last is the Roc this rocket can carry a payload to anywhere in Europe and most of North Africa and has a blast yield of about 11 tons of TNT."

[2,000 mile range, could hit Moscow]

Stewart who is had never seen with our some snarky comeback was speechless.

Rin-"I also want to move the facility to that island I was telling you about, we could use it as even more secure base for the magicals and our brightest minds."

Stewart just nodded and examined the blue prints in front of him.

We left him in hit stupor and I introduced Stin to the other researchers here in the facility, we of course left her skulls in Warehouse.

Her and Joan hit it off as with Alan who was happy to have another person who knew so much about computers.

Stewart would get back to us later in the week after his meeting with the mundane born, apparently Levi and them spread word around as far as they could.

They were able to get around 300 people interested in work ing for the government, most where had very little prospect or where stuck in dead end jobs with no way out.

Some had masteries, others had just left school and could find a job. Stewart was very happy with the result, he in total had about 500 in total magical soldiers and researchers.

The other 200 came from soldiers he had found already active in the military, he found them in every branch of the military even his own department of MI6. With permission of the Crown and Churchill our department was opened.

Thus [X-Com] was born, made to fight both Magical and Mundane threats to Britain whether Dark Wizard or Nazi spy our goal was to make them disappear.

Our other mission was to advance The British Empires Technological Might, in both mundane and magical research.

——————————————————————————

Before, we were able to have the base set up Stin and I went to Drumcolm to start fixing part of the Island up to our standards. With the Forge giving me infinite materials using I decided to build some Builder bots.

These are from the Fallout knowledge perks, they are slow and need some supervision but they can build Mother Base.

Base Specs:

Powered a Massive Fusion Reactor below the surface.

Patrolled by a number of Sentry Bots and other bots.

Data banks hold close to all what I know from the fallout verse excluding some of the more Evil experiment like FEV. Also some of my own knowledge on a variety of subjects. I way able to just download the knowledge from my head on to the database.

While checking up on the Bots on how the facility was going the Forge triggered again and it is a big one.

They're Like Legos, Right? (200CP)

There's robust engineering, and then there's modularity. Pick one. Except for you - you seem to have the gift of designing methods that allow for seamless mixing and matching of modular technology that lack none of the partsincompatibility and fragility you'd except from such a design paradigm. While this seems focused on Kerbin technology in specific, a little work should have you applying such a paradigm to all sorts of technologies…

This Is How I Want It (400CP)

Your capability of mentally designing items is vastly boosted. It's almost as if you have a mental idea space in the fashion of a construction bay with a lists of parts you have on hand that gives you an idea of what you can build at that moment... actually, that's pretty much what you have. As a bonus, you can mix and match parts in a manner roughly akin to legos, and giving you an idea of what would work and what wouldn't (and how much resources it would take to build). Mind, this doesn't mean that your mental creation will perform successfully, but it will function. As a final bonus, you can mentally hand-off the resultant creation to your Kerbals to build, and they'll do so without a mistake or screwup - meaning any snafu that results will be on your own head.

KSP Freebies

This Is, Actually, Rocket Science (Free)

You gain an instinctive grasp and understanding of Delta V and orbital mechanics.

Speak English, Dammit! (Free)

You gain perfect understanding of Kerbals and the way they speak in thier burbling, whack-ass mix of swedish meatball chef... something. Conversely, you can pick this to have them all speak english.

Some Old Friends (Free)

Hey, what are you - wait a minute! How did you four get in here!? Oh, well. Looks like you're going to get some help in this jump, wether you want to, or no - Bill, Bob, Jebediah, and Valentina are all up and raring to go. As a bonus, all four come with the 'I Am A Pilot, Actually' perk for free.

Espirit de Kerbal (Free)

While you're going to have no end of volunteers of Kerbals to go into space(seriously, where the hell are they all coming from?), it's understandable that you're going to want a special group of Kerbals to count on in a pinch - an elite force you can trust to get the job done. Twenty Kerbals have stepped up to the plate to fill that role. This group of Kerbals doesn't seem to let mishaps keep them down; while crashes, explosions, and other shenanigans will, uh, result in Critical Kerbal Existence Failure, they'll pop back up in a week or so, right as rain and raring to go for another try. All 20 of these Kerbals will automatically gain whatever perk you purchase in this jump from the Pilot, Engineer, and Scientist perk tree - Drop-In, however, doesn't count for this.

Suddenly 24 Kerbasl are In front of me along all with tools needed get a space program from start.
