Wenli looked over and saw the newcomer, a woman in a pale long dress, holding a bunch of snacks in her arms. The snacks were so numerous she had no free hand to hold her umbrella, so she clutched the handle at a strange angle in her arms.
What puzzled Wenli was that this newly boarded woman was staring at her, and there seemed to be some indescribable emotion in her eyes above the veil.
"Unfamiliar face?" Wenli asked.
"It's nothing, Pingniang's banquet allows maids from the banquet city to come and have fun," the maid cautioned, glancing worriedly at the newcomer.
As the wind blew, the umbrella in the woman's arms wobbled, and some raindrops conveniently squeezed in.
But the woman didn't seem to care about the rain; instead, she held the snacks in her arms even tighter, clearly valuing them more than getting wet herself.
The maid seemed worried about this newcomer, but soon other Flower Moon Building girls noticed the clumsy newcomer and went up to care for and guide her.
