Hearing a car stop in front of the villa, Star put on her coat and boots and headed out.
She saw Gu Qichen getting out of the driver's seat.
"Why is it you?"
The words were cold, and her steps slowed down accordingly.
Star walked up, ready to pull open the backseat door, but Gu Qichen held the car roof, blocking her.
"Front seat."
Gu Qichen's eyes were determined, as if he'd carry her over if she didn't come.
Star sighed and withdrew her hand.
Gu Qichen turned and opened the front passenger door, watching Star get in and fasten her seatbelt, before closing the door and walking around the hood to the driver's seat.
"Gu Qichen, aren't you being childish?"
The car drove into the dark night, Star said softly, "I thought you'd mature a bit after a few years of training, but now it seems, it's not much different from before."
"You mean I haven't changed, right?"
Gu Qichen glanced at the rearview mirror.
Star remained noncommittal.
