"Mr. Jiang."
Peninsula Hotel.
Presidential Suite.
Watching Jiang Chen approach, the two bodyguards greeted him politely, while simultaneously, an unspoken guilt mirrored on their rugged faces.
But Cao Jinse's abduction was unrelated to them; the bodyguards' duties had limitations and weren't effective in every situation.
"Are you okay?"
Jiang Chen gestured towards the room door.
The bodyguard shook his head.
Jiang Chen nodded and then pressed the doorbell.
The door opened.
Opening it was Tanki Liuli.
Contrary to Jiang Chen's expectations, the room was harmonious, not tense at all; instead, Mao Tu, the girl, was watching TV, joyously laughing.
Jiang Chen was surprised.
He had specifically left Tanki Liuli to prevent Mao Tu from acting impulsively, with the bodyguards at the door as a second line of defense.
Even if Mao Tu really clashed with Tanki Liuli, the bodyguards outside, as their people, could at least rush in to defuse the situation.
