His dignity?
Does he have DIGNITY?
With all the evil things he has done, he has the guts to mention his dignity.
"I… I dont quite understand what you mean. I didnt cheat on anyone." She adjusts her dress and takes a step forward. "Mr Pei, you are not trying to corner me, are you?"
"Corner you? Is it normal to sleep with someone and not take responsibility for it?" His expression showed that he was totally against it.
Abena was shocked and she didnt hide it in her expression. Excuse me, Mr pei, what we had was a night stand. People have night stands a lot and as adults…"
"Adults?" He questioned, interrupting her sentence. "Miss Mosi, if I am right then you must be the same age as my younger cousin right? You call yourself, a twenty year old an adult?"
Now Abena was getting offended. She placed both hands on her waist and glares up at him. Her eyes glancing to the scar on his lips. "If I am not an adult, what am I? Mr Pei, please dont make things difficult for me. We both enjoyed each other so this matter let us handle it like adults will and forget about it."
"I refuse to. You have to take responsibility for me." He insisted, something gleaming in his eyes.
Abena who normally wasnt the cool headed type got annoyed and pointed at him. "You are behaving like a child right now. Take responsibility? Tsk….come and kidnap me and force me to take responsibility then." After staying this, she quickly walks away not wanting the man to say something else.
Pei Shangdi watched her walk away and stroked his chin. "Kidnap her and force her to take responsibility?"
It didnt sound that bad to him. He quickly took out his phone and sent a message to someone.
Abena walked back to the main val hal, got her ticket for the movie and looked around for Pei Fang. She finally found him lurking around the theater with a cap on.
"You..are you really my friend? How could you leave me all by myself in such a situation?"
Pei Fang didnt even feel guilty and shrugs his shoulders. "What was I to do? You two had to talks things about rght?" he noticed her unhappy expression and probes. "What is wrong? Cousin didnt threaten you, did he?"
Abena waved him off with her right hand and dragged him into the cinema hall. When they found their seats, she leaned towards his side and asked. "Your cousin has never had a night stand before?"
Pei Fang who was busy with his phone glanced at her and carefully responded. "With his attitude, I doubt there will be any lady who will want to sleep with him."
Abena also agreed with this. If she hadnt entered the wrong room, there was no way she would sleep with such man whose forehead screams Psychopath.
The movie soon started and she had started to forget the unfortunate incident, when she suddenly starts to feel uncomfortable. As if a pair of cold eyes was watching her. She looked around the cinema and noticed everyone was focused on the movie ahead. Abean was about to shrug it off, when she noticed the silhouette of a man standing behind a glass wall on the upper part of the cinema. She knew there were private rooms where one had the opportunity to watch the movie and was only separated by a glass wall. Squinting her eyes, she found his piercing shameless gaze on her. She quickly evaded her eyes an focused back on the movie. Barely a minute after, she got a message.
"Are you up?" It was from an unknown number.
She felt that Pei Shangdi who was watching her would never send her such message until she got another one.
"It is I. Pei Shangdi."
Abena suddenly felt goosebumps creep up on her arms. What sort of human is he?
She turned off her phone and focused on the movie. Scary or not, he could not force her to do anything.
Meanwhile, in a private room, Lu ming could already feel the coldness swallowing the whole space. As he had feared, his boss turned around to glare at him. His piercing eyes making Lu Ming look no where else but the floor.
"She switched off her phone." He informs in a monotone voice. "I sent what you told me."
Lu ming felt he couldn't die without trying to justify his actions so he asked him. "Boss which text exactly. I...I told you lots of things."
Pei Shangdi shoved the phone to his face and Lu Ming quickly glanced at it. Seeing the content of the message, he wanted to laugh but held it in.
But as usual, nothing goes unnoticed by him. "Is it funny?"
"No boss. It is just….you only send that message at night when you think she is sleeping or early morning when you think she might still be in bed." He explains.
Pei Shangdi stares at his phone for a while and then turned to stare at Abena who was now whispering with his cousin. This creature is quite difficult to understand and please. Even though she wasn't as advanced as him and her IQ wasnt high, she was certainly difficult to understand.
Women. Would he have to take a course to understand their thoughts?
He saw his cousin adjusting her hair and narrowed his eyes. If need be he would have to tear Pei Fang away from her side.
"Come up with a plan to remove Pei Fang from her side." He instructs his assistant.
Lu ming was confused. Why would he do such a thing when he can use his cousin to get closer to her? Then he remembered, that his boss may have the highest IQ and a brain power that rivals that of a computer, but his EQ is terribly low.
Even an infant would do better than him.
Confused as to whether he should advice him and drown in eternal coldness or keep his mouth shut and watch the girl drift away from his lonely boss. He chose the latter.
"Boss...actually you can use Pei Fang to get closer to young Miss."
"Missus." He corrects picking a cigarette.
"The misssus."
Placing it between his lips, he lights it and sucked in a mouthful of smoke before exhaling. Now that he thought abou it, Lu ming wasnt that useless.
"Good. Are you proceeding with what I asked?"
This is where Lu Ming is more confused. "Yes boss." But he knew better than to question his boss.
Afterall, others might not know, but he is well aware if how inhuman his boss is. Pei Shangdi would never hesitate to get what he wants, however he wants it. He doesn't care if the rest of the world perish, as long as he has what he wants.
And he was starting to get scared for Abena. His boss didnt look like he only wanted to play a game of cat and mouse with her.
