Professor Darwin gave me a set of letters and instructed me how to assemble them, I was doubtful but he insisted. Upon assembling them they spelled out 'Worring' and immediately turned into what I can only describe as a living Worm on a String.
Rhubarb my pet Koi-Pup waddles in, he seems to feel challenged by the newcomer, the Worring looks at him and starts wiggling in place. Rhubarb starts aggressively blowing bubbles at him.
"Uh Professor I don't think Rhubarb likes him"
"Hm, I've never seen a Koi-Pup get territorial like that, but worry not they shouldn't fight it out, they seem to only want your attention they should get along just fine in time"
He's right, after a while Rhubarb waddles down from the walls in front of the Worring and they just have a staring contest. The Worring then wraps around Rhubarb and they waddle away.
"That's not how I was expecting that to go" Says my dad
Curie hands me a potted plant that seems to swing in the wind, even though we are in the house. "This is a Pepper Partner Plant"
Everyone gasps "Did you say Pepper Partner!? How did you get a Plant of it!?" Says Cranston
"What's a Pepper Partner?" I ask
Curie answers "Let me explain, recently we found a type of plant like creature called Pepper Partner they are friendly and will fight for others when taken care of, however they will fiercely protect their home plant they were born from" She points at the Potted Plant.
"Wait so you are saying as long as I take care of this and let it grow, it will keep producing these Pepper Minions?" I ask shocked
She claps and smiles "Yes! Only the best for Monsieur Kris"
I immediately place it on the table carefully and keep it next to me. Max comes up and he actually looks somewhat shy, he has a small box in his hands and I can see him hesitate. I go to him and smile.
"Don't worry bro anything you give me must be worth it!" I say
He beams at me and hands it over. I immediately open it and see the latest model of a reinforced clock I've been wanting to buy. It might not be enchanted like the others but it's exactly what I wanted.
"Oh man this is exactly what I wanted, thank you!" I say and am about to say more when David approaches.
"It's time!" He says loudly and everyone turns to him.
"Uh now?" I ask
"Yes, no time now tell me how is your Rune collection?" He asks.
I should explain, My Ego is 'Reality Core' the core is undetectable and as far as we know it's not on my actual body it just kind of exists. When I awakened it formed a transparent sphere shape with red fog and mist circulating within it. When it was done it formed a Rune and I learned the buff of 'Silent Stop' I tried it but it never did anything.
My physique grew similar to Max's but my frame and height are smaller and my hair isn't as silky and stayed black. My black eyes gained a red outline but that's it. My stats all grew to 10 each and stopped never growing past it. Over time I gained more Runes on my core and for each rune I gained I learned a new enhancement. I could never learn to choose a specific one and it's always random.
"My Rune collection is ok I guess? Why?"
"Good now tell me, have you thought of any new non enhancement spells?" He asks curiously.
I narrow my eyes "Actually yes why?"
"Good I want you to recite it" He responds plainly
"And? Is that it?" I say doubtful of this
"Yes but you must put your heart into it and believe you can do it, because believe me you can" He responds with confidence
I look at my hands and hesitate before pulling my resolve and slowly chant
Nothing happens as he says loudly "Say it again! And mean it! Try again and force it to listen to you!"
I say it again but nothing happens "Again!"
"IGNIS ALOE VERA" I scream at the top of my lungs
A burst of energy sweeps across the room as my eyes turn into bright red light bulbs emitting arcs of Crimson lighting all around me
"AAAGH!!" I scream at the top of my lungs, the pain is too much, the others are about to step forward when David intervenes.
"Don't! If you stop him he may never break through again!" Everyone hesitates and stands down.
"What did you do?" Asks my dad
"His Runes have reached an impasse, he's learned pretty much all enhancements that are useful to him, he has to fuse them by forcefully learning another category for example" he turns to me "Elemental Runes"
