~Azaria~
As we exited the auction room, my heart still raced from the intensity of the bidding war over those cursed brass cuffs. But any relief I felt was short-lived as we encountered the angel lingering in the hallway.
"Excuse me, Azaria," she said, her voice gentle yet firm, "may I have a moment of your time?"
I nodded reluctantly, though I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in my gut. "What do you want?" I asked, trying to keep my tone civil despite the rising tension. "Should I assume your intentions are pure just because of your status?" The words spilled out in a rush, fueled by frustration and suspicion.
the angel, seemed taken aback by my blunt question. "I assure you; my intentions are only to understand, I am Seraphina" she replied, her voice soft but firm. "But I can't help but wonder, what is your interest in those cuffs? They hold great power, and in the wrong hands..." Her voice trailed off, leaving the implication hanging in the air.
