With his newly upgraded fourth-tier telekinesis, Nao Pei had no trouble penetrating Lan Xudao's defensive aura. Unfortunately, the pain the inquisitor suffered also triggered an automatic response. He lashed out. An explosive shockwave erupted from Lan Xudao before the metal plate cut into his neck. The shockwave threw the metal plate, Nao Pei, and Nao Mei away.
Lan Xudao's sword, which was still lodged inside Nao Pei, was violently pulled out. The pulling ripped a large hole in Nao Pei's stomach. His entrails and blood gushed out.
"No! No!! Pei…!!!" Nao Mei exclaimed after regaining her balance. She quickly ran to Nao Pei and held him. He was still breathing, but his life was hanging by a thread.
"Ah…! Aahhhh…!!" Lan Xudao groaned as he grabbed his bloody face. The pain was unbearable. He stumbled around while cursing, "Fuck! Fuuckkk…!!"
