"Any ideas, Herald?" Nathan asked but received no response. Elena remained silent as she carefully studied the situation. Seeing as she was completely focused, he decided to wait instead of bothering her.
As he stared at the watchtower using magnification, he could not help but wonder how Leah was holding up, after all, he knew better than anyone just how badly she handled the pressure.
"I hope she is okay…" Nathan muttered with a solemn expression before he suddenly scowled. "That's if that asshole, Jeremy, doesn't make things difficult for her." Hopefully, he would put the mission first instead of pushing Leah over the edge.
As he kept on watching, he noticed the Man-eaters gathering at the foot of the watchtower. Before he could ponder on why they were gathering so close, it happened.
The watchtower shook causing Nathan to go wide-eyed in surprise. "They are trying to topple it?" Elena noticed this as well as she narrowed her eyes. She fell into deep thought.
