Shui stepped out, peeking across the small corridor that led to the stairs at the other side. She let out a silent breath and then immediately berated herself for it.
"How many times should I remind myself? Just act normal. Normal! I-It was only just a small peck after all…" she didn't know why she held her cheek.
She walked further but didn't hear the morning chatter and chaos she had expected. At this time, the two brothers would already start for the prep in the kitchen, but the cafe felt awfully silent.
