"Centuries," Abigail muttered. "People have spent several centuries scouring this labyrinth of a Tomb, looking for this thing, and you're telling me that it was in the first room all along?!"
Her voice rose, the incredulity in her tone clear as day.
She really couldn't be blamed for such a reaction. Laurene was also feeling a similar range of emotions.
The shock and incredulity at the fact that the item people had spent centuries scouring this Tomb for was apparently hidden within a chandelier in the second hall in the Tomb, and that over 800 years, thousands of people had lost their lives trying to get to the bottom in hopes of acquiring said item.
Evan laughed at Abigail's reaction, but Abigail wasn't having it.
"This isn't funny, Evan," she snapped.
However, Evan just shrugged nonchalantly.
"It sure is funny to me," he said casually. "And besides, don't get mad at me. I'm not the one who put the crown there.
