Laurene felt as if she was falling through some kind of endless darkness, unable to see anything around her despite her eyes being wide open.
She fell through the darkness without any sense of direction until her body suddenly collided with someone else.
"Ugh...Who?!" the person groaned in pain as Laurene's elbow hit them in the back.
"That voice…David?"
"Laurene??" David called out, recognising her voice. Laurene could feel him turning around in the darkness, and a moment later, his arm grabbed onto hers. "Perfect. Can you tell what's going on? Where are we falling into?"
"I can't tell. I can't see anything!"
Just as she made that unfavourable revelation, another loud voice rang out in the darkness.
"What the hell?!"
Laurene recognised that as Abigail's voice, but before she could even ask what had happened, she heard Ophelia speak.
"Oh my. This is quite the spike in cosmic energy concentration."
