All the patrolling soldiers instantly froze, rigid in place.
The only constable who narrowly avoided the critical moment, a Third-Grade expert, was now clutching his right face tightly.
He avoided the forehead, but not the cheek.
A violent numbness spread from his face, quickly enveloping his entire body.

The constable fell to his knees, opening his mouth to make a sound.
His vision began to blur; he had worked hard to reach this level.
