Ji Yanyu cursed inside and told himself to shut up next time. He never expected his crow's mouth to work this well.
Their car was parked at the edge of City B, a few kilometers away from the entryway where a large tree stood 20 feet high.
"Boss, how will we pass through here? The hospital is at the other side of the city," Zhou Xun was anxious, after all his sister and his sister-in-law is just a few kilometers away, the big tree that suddenly took root broke their chances to cross.
Yan Shun fell silent and looked around, there has to be another way to go to the other side. She looked at the still standing buildings and gritted her teeth, "I'll make a soil bridge, just enough for you guys to cross from one ceiling to another, it'd take sometime but maybe we can-"
"No. Over exhaustion of abilities." Wang Bao immediately declined and tightly held her wrist, his bear-like eyes furrowed and drooping.
Over the past few days, they've come to a realization that their abilities aren't limitless, once they overuse it, they'll face severe drawbacks and a disability would be nothing but a weight in this situation.
"He's right. Don't overestimate yourself," Li Shiu looked over from the car windows and went out, he was silent for a while and quietly gave his decision, "Let's go underground,"

Ji Yanyu followed the team enter a sewer from the main road. His system cannot see in the dark, and he cannot provide any information from here on out about where to go.
Led by Li Shiu, the team walked for a while forward, although Ji Yanyu cannot give direction, he can see what's above from where they're standing. But since he wasn't familiar with City B, he can only say visual cues about what the system is seeing above.
"We're at a supermarket called Peiyu, next to it is an unbranded clothing store, it should be a thrift store," Ji Yanyu whispered between his breath, he doesn't know why but he is getting a bad feeling.
The tunnel whose only light came from the flashlight was extremely dark, there were scurrying and screeching sounds from time to time that were clearly not made by humans.
He was nervous, but he doesn't want to think of anything negative, he still haven't gotten over the earlier incident.
"Keep your guards up," Li Shiu cautioned as he thought of where they could be, taking large strides with keen alertness while maintaining their decided formation.
Ji Yanyu was surrounded by the other members, it wasn't that unexpected since he have no way of protecting himself, at least that was the impression he gave to everyone.
Who would have thought this ordinary looking young man have a cheetah plug-in that enhances his physical abilities?
He was sure there was a side effect..
"Yanyu, where are we now?" Su Wei asked again after receiving no reply from the dozing off youth, Ji Yanyu blinked and awkwardly laughed, secretly nudging his system to ask where they're at.
At this, Ji Yanyu subtly frowned when he saw the view through his system, his expression turning grave from worry, "I think we should turn somewhere, we're near where the tree at the middle of the city is at, its roots might've pierced through the floor,"
Yan Shun who was unusually quiet nodded her head, she was sensitive to trees and soil due to her ability, and she could vaguely feel something strange further ahead.
Li Shiu took the advice and went to another corner, if he isn't wrong, there should be another way to the hospital.
Fortunately, nothing have yet gone askew and they were already nearing the hospital, if nothing goes wrong, they'd soon be able to reach their destination.
When they reached the exit, there were suddenly large noises coming from the tunnel's corners, Ji Yanyu who was about to climb up the ladder hissed in pain when he felt a strange bite on his body, his face paled as the other members tried to drive away the flying bats that now had sharper canines.
Ji Yanyu anxiously looked at his arms the moment they escaped above, and sure enough there was a bleeding bitten wound on his lower arm.
"I got bitten," His eyes trembled as he tried to stop himself from crying, he didn't expect to turn into a zombie before he can even experience the bed life of an adult!
He haven't even seen all the main characters, he's even dying faster than the original Ji Yanyu.
His big eyes were filled with mist as he looked at his trembling arms, under his breath he whispered with difficulty, "I.. I'm going to turn into a zombie.. I haven't even had experienced sex!"
"Ji Yanyu!"
The young man stiffened as he looked at the leader of the group, the male lead that he have evil intentions for now crouching to his eye level, "You'll be fine, it isn't yet determined whether those bats contain the virus,"
"Don't you still have to go to City Z? You can't leave us hungry, our supplies are all with you, Little Yu," Yan Shun was smiling and wiped the tears away from his blurry eyes, "You'll be fine, your Uncle Wang will help you,"
Wang Bao nodded seriously, clearly ready to try healing the wound on Ji Yanyu's wounded arm.
Su Wei took a hotdog bun from his personal stash and fed it to the boy who was about to cry some more tears, "Alright, eat some food and get your wounds treated, we still have more to go before we arrive at City Z,"
Before Ji Yanyu can say anything else, his hair was roughly ruffled by Zhou Xun, "Brother, you're not done being our navigator,"
Ji Yanyu was so touched he cried even harder, although he tightly bit his lips and restrained himself from making stifled sobs to not attract zombies.
Wang Bao didn't say anything else and carefully wrapped around the wound with the bandage after applying disinfectants, only until then did he use his ability to heal it.
It took some time before Wang Bao finally stopped, light sweat drizzled out of his forehead as he smiled for the first time at Ji Yanyu, "It should be good,"
Ji Yanyu looked at the worried group and felt a bubbling sense of belonging, he suddenly wanted to hug these people, he knew he did the right choice of joining the fourth male lead's group!
"Yeah! Thank you," Ji Yanyu grinned brightly, for the first time ever since the apocalypse came, he was able to smile genuinely.
Even if the days seems bleak, if he stays with these people, would he eventually survive the cruel apocalypse?
Ji Yanyu wasn't sure but for now, he is willing to place a bet on these group of individuals.
Li Shiu glanced at this and smiled, the teenager they found might not be as bad he thought.
They arrived at a street just a few meters away from the hospital, they deliberately chose some distance to determine the current state of the hospital.
Oddly enough, there weren't many zombies around, they initially thought they were gathered at the entrance of the city but seeing the cars that seems to have been parked intentionally as they go near the hospital gates, they realized it might have become a human settlement.
If that is the case, there was a higher chance that the people they were looking for is still around.
Before they go nearer the perimeter of the enclosure, Li Shiu asked Ji Yanyu to prepare bags with supplies to minimize risks.
Spacial ability is something they've never encountered before, who knows what people will do if they found out Ji Yanyu is one of them.
As soon as they reach a few meters away from the hospital, five men raised their firearms with alertness. "Hold, are any of you injured?"
Yan Shun took the initiative to come forward and explained Ji Yanyu's circumstances as much as possible, "One of our teammate was wounded during our fight with an evolved wolf, he was scratched by the wolf during a surprise attack last night,"
"We promise it's not from a zombie," Everyone dutifully nodded their head in agreement to support the story.
"Zombies or not, everyone that has injuries will be subjected to a 24 hour quarantine, we hope that your teammate will cooperate well," The acting leader among the four was unmoved, if Ji Yanyu doesn't agree with their terms, they will not be allowed inside.
"We won't stay for long, we only wanted to look for someone, we will be responsible for any danger caused by this person and will kill him once necessary," Li Shiu took out an identity card from the military, "We will go as soon as we found who we are looking for,"
Ji Yanyu who was wavering about this group's identity suddenly felt that his guesses were wrong. After all, Li Shiu was holding an authentic card. Rather, he felt so moved now! The male lead was holding him responsible!
He desperately hid his joy and nodded his head like a chicken pecking. Seriously! He's not dangerous at all! Even if he becomes a zombie he'll probably be an ordinary zombie, he doesn't have real abilities like the others after all.
Who knows if the group of men were persuaded or threatened, but they were able to enter after much deliberation.
And the hospital wasn't exactly what they expected.
