Bai Mowan felt a slight movement in her hands and immediately opened her eyes, looking up to see Xiao Jinxing awake, gazing at her with a tender smile.
"You're awake?" Bai Mowan was somewhat excited; she quickly sat up straight and asked with concern.
"Mmm."
"Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"
"I'm okay," Xiao Jinxing said. "Just weak."
As he spoke, Xiao Jinxing tried to sit up.
"Don't move," said Bai Mowan urgently, "Your body is so badly injured, you must not move; any movement might agitate the wound."
Xiao Jinxing furrowed his brows.
Obviously, he had just moved a little, and indeed it had tugged at his wound.
