"So, in order to continue your family's legacy, you wanted Zhou Rui to join the Central Guards Brigade, but her talent wasn't enough, so you thought of this way to get the gene serum, temporarily boosting her abilities to meet the Brigade's assessment standards. I'm right, aren't I?"
"Heh..."
Zhou Jianrong laughed bitterly, "Seems nothing can escape from Team Leader Lin. With you overseeing the Central Guards Brigade, not even a fly has the chance to leak information."
"This time was just luck, bad luck on your part," Lin Yi said:
"Zheng Dongyuan didn't keep me occupied; instead, it led to his death. If I continued to stay in Corea, your transaction might have gone unnoticed."
"Saying these things now is useless. I'll take responsibility for my actions, but can you spare my sister's life?"
Tears streamed down Zhou Jianrong's face, "She truly wants to join the Central Guards Brigade; it's been her dream since she was a child. She made tremendous efforts."
