Chapter 2 - An Assit trophy ch2

sorry the phone version of the editor is clunky will us pc next time

I walked down the river for two days, I've never been much of an outdoors person. But while walking carefully, I made my way down the river. I learned many years ago in school that communities grew along rivers, due to many reasons. Transportation, water, food resources, war, many reasons. Thus my reasoning for doing so. While I did so I found animals like dogs and monkeys would attack me so using the swords at my waist and magic which i was coming really proficient with I fought them and won. Every Once in a while I would be struck, but it seemed just waiting was good enough to heal.

I pulled out my cell phone which was still in my pocket and checked it. It still was in its case so it should be ok. I turned it on, and it worked. I checked single, none but that was ok it had a mostly full battery.  So I put on my headphones, and started listening to music which I had saved. When my phone gave me the warning 15% left I turned it off. I sat down using the Machete to cut down dry grass, gathered sticks and used a battery and steel wool from my welding bag to start a fire. Propped up my welding jacket and slept waking up every once in a while.

I woke up that particular morning and noticed a bubble in the corner of my vision. Guessing I spoke again. "Check status". The window opened again with the new Mp Hp and skills added on. Hp 250/300 Mp 99/100. " Huh I haven't been hurt, maybe Hp also takes into account exhaustion. And Mp I have no idea. Oh it just became 100. Close status." I waited about three seconds. "Open Status" the menu opened again. And I checked once again. Mp 99/100, "Oh it used one Mp to open it." Then I checked the rest while eating my last bit of food I had left over.

My skill chart ever growing said this. Skills Blasting cap Lv 4, Blast Shield Lv1. Water wave Lv6, Burning boom Lv 2, Beach travel lv 1, Climbing lv 1, Swordsmanship lv 2, Accuracy lv 4.

"I guess ive gotten a few new ones" I muttered. "maybe we should try something... dumb." I stood there for a few moments and with a huff. "Become the wind to guide me and carry away the pests. Blast Bug killer". A strong breeze formed around myself and i heard little poping sounds ass bugs were eliminated. A soft "why" escaped me. Then an answer came. The non-gendered voice returned. "Giving command to magic becomes more refined the more advanced the instruction. Do note language doesnt matter as long as the idea is understood". I scoffed at the attentive answer. "Thanks ill mark ya down for Five stars. I should keep walking now." a small bubble appears in my vision Bug Buzz Killer unlocked.

By late afternoon the thoughts of camp began to cross my mind. Now that I had the small flame spell I used before I could start fires easily, and water was easy to clean by boiling it and I have some containers. But shouldn't I find people by now, or am I in unexplored land where no one has stepped onto yet. I screamed "Oh come the Hell on. Where are people?"

"Would you like to use the target function?", The strange voice echoed in my head.

"Wait, is there a target function? Of course there is.." I sighed " Target nearest location of residence." The silence in the air was way too long then the voice returned. "Note two settlements are approximately the same distance, please decide human settlement or Elvin settlement?"

"Oh there's Elves. Explanations" a short pause. "I'm going to call you Assistant from now on. Assistant, please explain about the Elves." I was sick of just asking questions in random spaces to no-one.

"Noted now responding to Assistante from now on. Elves are a long lived race whose bodies are similar to Humans with the small differences they have more luster to their eyes and long ears, and a large array of hair colors. Also they have the disposition for wind and earth magic along with spirit magic."

"Oh Spirit Magic that's neat.. Please direct me to the Elven village." The status menu reappears with what looked like an arrow. Pointing in the direction of the village. And I walked through the forest and found my way through the forest. At some point I saw a notice telling me I had unlocked the skill Forest walker. That skill made moving through the forest and finding food and water easier. After moving through the forest I happened upon a trail and celebrated. "People, I found people! I'm so excited, for people do you know how rare that is Assistant. I'm going to eat and drink hell, maybe move in here." Then a noise of air being cut and an arrow hit the ground between his feet. "Oh Shit".

My skills began to increase, and more and more of them came to my ownership. And my ability to use them actively really helped. I've also unlocked three more titles. Guardian of the forest edge, which increased all stats when fighting in the forest. Explosive king, which tripled the effects of blast spells, and lowered their cost. And thirdly Helper of the weak, it just made my movement faster when helping others. I hadn't really seen any effects while having it equipped. So I kept Guardian of the Forest Edge. Because we were in the forest. Recently I was asking the Elders about skill levels and I learned something amazing. Those skills evolved and fused together.

So that was my next quest, looking at my skills I decided that blasting cap would be the best to level up. It took three week of continuous usage to level it Lv 99. My level grew by 5 and my mp has tripled. "Ok Drannor, I can't seem to evolve this skill. It's at level 99, and my affinity for its usage has grown as well, so what do I do?". They didn't say anything and smiled. God do I hate that condescending smile. All they did was hand me a small bottle of liquid. "And this does what." I sniffed it, and almost fainted. It was the worst smell I had ever experienced. "No, I will not drink this." I tried to run but it was too late. My arms were bound, and my mouth was held open by these Old people, but they were stronger than me using all my mana. As they poured it I tried to scream. "Nooooooo". Then I fainted.

It was days before the taste left my mouth. "I will never trust you guys." I spoke angrily towards the evil people who forced me to drink that evil drink. No matter what I drank I could not rid myself of that terrible taste. Apparently the terrible drink was a skill evolution drink, and it forced the body to fuse all similar skills. All my skills that were elementary based turned into high rank skills. Now my skills are.

    Skills

Explosion control LV 1. Water melded-magic lv 1, Fire melded-magic Lv1, Wind melded-magic lv1,Beach travel lv 3, Forest travel Lv1, Archery Lv 1,  Carving lv1, Reasoning Lv 1, Lunar swordsmanship lv 1, Flirting lv1, Battle senses LV 1, higher 3D Movement Lv10, Magic control lv1, Lunar magic arts Lv?, protective magic Lv1

Now my skill list shrank, but most of my skills turned into high rank skills. But the skill levels reset, that was really annoying. Plus it seems the mystery skills, changed and fused with others and themselves. Also that terrible taste means I had high possible skills. Which made me happy and angry at the same time. Now that my skills were all high rank, they would be harder to level up. And have higher abilities, and even higher limits low and mid rank skills max level was lv 100, high rank skills max level was 999. Like in an rpg, gotta hand it to god or whatever he made sure I'd understand the stuff.

The next year was nice, I had become a part of the hunters group. And my level which also had lowered grew again, and my skills grew slightly.
