Eidolon P.O.V.
Life is "life" to everyone.
We are all different but the same, so despite our individualities, most people always go through similar things in one way or another.
The first heartbreak, that cringe moment you can't forget, the nervousness of stepping on a stage for anything, good things, troubles, important moments and trivial ones… Humanity is on this world together in more ways than just our material bodies.
It doesn't matter if I am a world-renowned hero or anything; sometimes I still need to do "normal" tasks, even if they are a little… scaled up to my standards.
Like returning a pet my daughters found to the true owner.
It's just that instead of checking the collar, making a call, posting on the internet, or driving through town, what I need to do is a little more complicated.
"Okay, you big ball of… collagen fibers." Jeff doesn't have fur like other common pets, so I need to adapt how I call him.
I kneel in front of him and caress his skin while activating some investigative powers, the main one being the [Moody Blues] ability. First, I will try this before getting a little more invasive.
"Let's see where you are swimming around." It is weird seeing my humanoid Stand slowly take the form of the land shark, but that is what happens.
Then I start rewinding it so fast that my Stand becomes a blur as it moves around.
Luckily, it's easy for me to follow, and not even a minute later, I am back to the desert island where we spent the weekend, following "Jeff" as he retraced his steps.
From there, a few minutes later, I already saw what Jeff was doing before he met us. I silently followed the shark as it swam backward, intangible so I wouldn't disturb anything with my super speed.
It is a little boring because Jeff basically only swims around biting things, and strangely, he isn't moving toward Atlantis.
Where did this creature come from? I mean, Atlantis is not the only underwater city in the world, just the most famous one… but… Jeff is not moving to any of the other cities either.
He swims around, stops to sleep, and, calculating the time, it seems he was "lost" for many days. At some point, Jeff heads back toward a familiar spot to me.
It is one of the islands I sent my people to raid just recently.
"Why are you there? An experiment that escaped? Those guys should report things properly."
And the time frame… I watch the shark play around on the beach for a while, then he goes back to the sea.
I pause… He was playing with someone.
I retrieve my Stand and use [Moody Blues] ability around to detect who Jeff was interacting with. The humanoid Stand starts changing, being covered in red…
"Damnit, Wade." I facepalm. "Why do you always meet those weird things first?"
......…
Emma Frost
Emma lets out a sigh after Eidolon leaves; even though the air between them is clearer, things are still awkward. She goes to check on the girls; after all, there is a high chance little Jeff will have to go away today.
She will still try to do something about it, but as the businesswoman she is, Emma knows negotiations sometimes take time.
So, hypothetically, in case Eidolon finds Jeff's owner (and she knows he will), Emma will try to buy the cute shark from them. Even if originally her first instinct is to say no, she believes everyone… almost everyone has a price.
And if money is not the issue… maybe something else.
She is not above doing some blackmailing for her daughters. Eidolon will frown on any form of mind control, but that would be too easy, but hhe can't complain if she "discovers" some secrets of the owner and uses that against them.
In the last case, she still has her trump card… Using Eidolon himself.
She doubts he can resist some puppy eyes from the quintuplets; Emma can already see the future… He sighs and relents to their wishes; then he will do something for them to keep the shark.
She chuckles slightly at the scene of such a scary-looking hero being completely powerless against five little girls, but she catches herself and stops immediately.
"..." She shouldn't be thinking about him fondly, in any way whatsoever!
They… They are done!
Now they are only partners. Partners in some business venture, in case he once again targets some rich assholes, and partners in raising the quintuplets.
Nothing beyond that.
Emma arrives at the big playroom where her five daughters and Jeff are; she opens the door and watches them run around with the cute landshark.
"I hope it is not the last time…" She sighs, not wanting to imagine her daughters' sad faces.
"Don't worry, Master always finds a way." A voice suddenly speaks beside her, making Emma turn fast. "And if not… it will at least be a chapter in their life that will build character."
"Caretaker…" Emma's tone is half-greeting and half-amonishing, for the woman sneaking up on her.
"Ms. Frost." But the strange maid acts oblivious to her unhappiness and simply bows slightly. Acting so much like her master, unfazed to the bone.
Caretaker still wears her strange dark misty form, and both Emma and the quintuplets are already used to it.
Something has been bothering Emma for some time, so as she stares at the slits that can only be the maid's eyes, she finally speaks.
"You knew…"
"..." Caretaker's misty head seems to turn slightly toward Emma, but no fluctuation appears on it.
"You knew that he was in a relationship with multiple women, that what I was chasing was impossible… and you let me. You even gave me advice." She tries not to sound bitterly accusatory, but Emma can tell that's exactly how she sounds.
"I didn't know that it was impossible," Caretaker says, but Emma only hears that she does not deny the rest. "It would only depend on you… and it was not my place to tell other people Master business." Her voice is nonchalant as ever, even as Emma glares at her.
"Please…" Emma holds back a scoffing laugh. "Don't play dumb when I already know how smart you are. It was clear that it was impossible."
"Impossible…? Nothing is really impossible." Caretaker says, as if lecturing a kid, "I simply didn't wish to prematurely kill it with some thoughtless meddling… what would happen would depend exclusively on you and my Master."
"..." Emma takes a deep breath not to rage. It would be very childish if she shouted anything about 'womanhood' and how she should have warned her because of that.
"Master also has a knack for doing the impossible, so there is always the possibility this relationship would bloom despite everything…" Caretaker turns to look at the quintuplets playing, gesturing to them with her misty hand. "Especially when the groundwork is so nurturing."
"..." Emma has to agree with that. She wasn't wrong to think she had an advantage over any other woman on the planet because of the quintuplets.
"Too bad it found a wall… but again, it is not up to me." Caretaker shrugs to show her lack of worry or stress over this issue.
Emma's eyes start narrowing slowly. "Are you… one of his women?"
This time the misty head turns all the way to the side to stare at Emma. The lack of features makes it almost impossible to read her expression, and her telepathy is useless against her, but Emma would like to imagine that she is very right or very wrong.
"I will be by Master's side no matter what and forever." It is a declaration that doesn't say either yes or no, but is at the same time more final than any other direct answer.
"Very dedicated of you…" Emma comments with a strange emotion in her voice, not even sure how she should feel. "So, how that works… you all just accept whatever he does."
"Again, those matters are his business, and not something outsiders can have a clear picture of." She says, then adds, "It works because it is him… that is the only thing I can say."
"That is it?" Emma holds back a laugh at this absurdity
"It is really that hard to believe?" It looks like Caretaker is giving her a side glance.
"..." The worst part is that it is not… it is not hard to believe.
As a woman, Emma Frost can see what makes Eidolon attractive, and she can concede that many would not mind this disadvantageous arrangement. But she is not most women.
Emma Frost has self-respect and royal-like status; she is not a peasant who can be grabbed on the streets and put in a harem.
Except…
"But… who are those women? Just a little curious…" She says while throwing her shoulder a little, hating that she is acting like some high school girl asking someone if her crush has female friends.
"..." Caretaker at least doesn't tease her over it. "Again, I will not gossip about it… but if you have eyes, it is not hard to see who they are. And if you have some suspicion, and even if you are wrong… it may eventually happen."
"..." That once again says nothing and a lot at the same time. From the top of her head, Emma can think of the women in his group that seem to gravitate around him. "And what about Yor?" The second woman Eidolon put to take care of the girls came to mind.
To Emma, she looks pretty ordinary, but Eidolon said that she "will show her talents only when the situation needs it." Yor is beautiful and, in Emma's humble opinion, a little of a pushover maybe… It looks like an easy target to-
"To someone that already took a stance out of it, you seem pretty interested, Ms. Frost." Caretaker voice interrupts her thoughts.
"...only curiosity. It is not every day you see this kind of relationship." Emma says in an even voice, "And Eidolon didn't give the impression of being this type of guy, so… only curiosity."
"He is not… but I am not gonna argue about it because I understand how it looks from an outsider's perspective."
"He said something similar."
"Because it is the truth."
"Hah, so everything he says is the truth, now?" Emma thinks Eidolon really has this woman wrapped around his finger.
"He rarely lies because there is no need for him to do that."
"I guess you have a point…" Emma lets out a sigh. Even the 'omission of the fact' was more a privacy consideration than a deliberate attempt to withhold information to trick her.
"..." Caretaker stares at her. "You know… if you are curious about the others, I can at least tell you that some are pretty happy that things don't work out with you." She reveals, "Ah, before you ask… Of course, he would tell them, as I said, he is pretty honest." Adding the last part after some consideration.
"..."
"Like you, most would rather have him only for themselves, obviously… But they can't complain when he makes it work, and they have nothing to complain about." Caretaker turns to look at the girls playing again, acting like she is talking to herself. "And strangely… you and Master are the only ones that are sad that it didn't work out."
"...I am not sad."
"It is okay; he has also accepted it pretty well, but that also doesn't mean he was not a little down." Caretaker reveals
"He was?" Emma can't help but ask before her brain can even filter the question.
"...maybe I am saying too much." The other woman comments in a low voice, wondering to herself.
That was the exact moment a dark vortex appeared close by. That is when Eidolon gives a heads-up that he is appearing, much like knocking, to be polite. That's why no one reacted strangely to the sudden appearance.
As expected, he steps out of the dark vortex. "Oh, everyone is here."
"Master." Caretaker bows slightly. The movement is the same as when she greeted Emma, but the deference in her tones is much more pronounced.
"That was fast." Emma says while schooling her features. And also giving a side glance at Caretaker. Maybe she shouldn't have talked with this woman; after all, she is Eidolon's creature and will most certainly tell him what they talked about.
There is no womanhood solidarity between them, it seems.
"It was not that complicated; as weird as he is, Jeff is just an animal that was moving around." Eidolon explains
"And what did you discover?" Emma is pretty interested in that
"Well…" He starts speaking as he looks around, but then he pauses, his expression changing to a helpless amusement. "Where are the girls?" He asks with a little chuckle between his words.
"What?" Emma turns fast, more worried than he is. "They are here just now."
"They went to hide with Jeff." Caretaker immediately says, "Afraid that he is gonna take them away, so that is what they did."
"Haah~ Already breaking their father's heart… Not even coming to greet me, hiding at first sight and everything." The hero shook his head, hands on his waist, and sighed tiredly.
Now Emma got it; the girls are not dumb, and both of them made no real effort to hide that Eidolon is gonna check Jeff's origins. The quintuplets feared what would happen after Eidolon arrived and decided on the best course of action they could take first… They hide and hope the problem goes away.
"Heh~, do they know that you can still see them?" Emma understands why he sounded amused earlier.
"Like hiding from monsters using a blanket, they are cute." Eidolon says and starts walking.
This playroom is big, very big, big enough to accommodate a hundred kids playing around in the most varied games. It is basically their own personal arcade.
Eidolon passes through all the machines and games, and Emma follows, unsurprisingly noticing he is heading to the ball pit.
"Typical…" Her lips crook into a smile. That is the number one spot of any child if they have the chance.
Eidolon stops at the front of the pool-sized ball pit and exhales.
"Okay, girls… you can come out now."
"..." They literally see some balls trembling and moving, but no one comes out. From the side, some balls move a little too frantically, and if Emma had to guess, she would say that is Jeff's tail wiggling from side to side.
Eidolon starts using the dad voice. "You know that is useless; come out and let's talk about it properly."
"We can stay here all day, girls, but we can also empty this ball pit." Emma adds.
Only then do they slowly emerge from the ball pit, acting extremely pitiful, all that without Eidolon or Emma even reproaching them in any way.
Emma sees Phoebe and Esme holding down Jeff; they are the ones who prevented the shark from getting out when they first called.
"We are not angry at this flimsy attempt, so get out of this so we can talk." Eidolon beckons them.
With some difficulty and hesitation, the girls start walking to the edge of the ball pit, and after some difficulty they leave it and stay in front of the adults.
Seeing them all looking down, performatively trying to instill pity, makes Emma shake her head at their manipulative ways, but Eidolon facepalms.
He is not dumb, but sometimes a trap is inevitable.
"Seriously, stop that. You all acting like I'm gonna cook the shark." He facepalms
Jeff reacts strongly to his words, and the girls make crying pouty faces.
"Alright, let me make something clear: I didn't find his owner," Eidolon reveals
"!!" The girls immediately look up with shining eyes
"...you all didn't even hide your happiness, huh?" He says in amusement. "I really didn't find his place of origin because apparently Jeff fell into his world through a portal. He is from another universe."
"You could have started with that." Emma smiles from the side, watching her daughters get happy at the news.
"No, they need to listen to us even when it is not something they want to hear." Eidolon answers with some fatherly wisdom, "I did not want to bait them with the good news."
"Hmm, good choice." Emma admits. Deep down, she really is the parent who can only spoil their children. She will let this troublesome part be his.
"The right choice." Caretaker also says, "This time it went their way, but if it doesn't, they should know that is not by escaping or even throwing a tantrum that reality can change." Emma remembers that this woman can be a little spartan.
"It did not really go their way… Jeff still has a real owner. She is just inaccessible to us for now." Eidolon throws a bucket of cold water, making the girls pause. "If one day she came to retrieve the shark… well, we will need to wait for that day."
The girls look unsure how to feel… on one side, they are happy Jeff isn't going away now, but they can't be happy when the possibility still exists.
Emma can feel through their link that they are really hoping Jeff's owner never comes; some even have some bad thoughts about the said owner.
"Taking it out of the way already… yes, we will be keeping Jeff for the foreseeable future." Eidolon declares, making the girls cheer with the shark. "Someone found him before us, but it was someone from my group. He is a weirdo, but a good person overall… I am gonna talk with him later, and maybe we can allow him to take the creature on a walk sometimes."
The girls suddenly bundle up around the shark, hugging the creature tightly.
"Don't worry, I'm not gonna take him now." Eidolon rolls his eyes.
He then kneels in front of them and reaches for Jeff. "Now let me confirm something… Sorry, buddy, I don't like to use this power, but…"
Despite looking apprehensive, maybe thinking Eidolon is gonna take the shark away, the girls open the way for the hero to touch Jeff.
A surprising scene happens as he caresses the creature's grey-blue body. The skin opens in pages like a book.
"If I use my own meta-power instead of my Stand, everyone can see the changes…" Emma hears the hero mutter under his breath, but can't make sense of it
"What are you doing?" She approaches. Jeff doesn't look hurt, only surprised by the change in his own body.
Eidolon treats him like a book, flipping page after page.
"Just one of my least liked powers, just one rank below Telepathy, but pretty useful." Eidolon says, "It allows me to turn anyone that I touch into a book that I can read… Their thoughts, personality, medical information, past, and even things they don't know about themselves become available to me."
"That's… That's a pretty incredible power." Emma comments, clearly impressed.
Over his shoulder, she sees paragraphs describing what Jeff did in the past, some pictures of him as if a photographer took them, and even some clearly from the little shark P.O.V.
"Right? And it is not all… I can remove pages to make them forget things, and even write orders on those pages. Basically editing them." Eidolon speaks like it is no big deal as he goes further and further. "Oh, here is when he met Deadpool."
"What the fuck??" Emma shouts
"Language in front of the girls." Eidolon admonishes, but Emma doesn't care, even ignoring the girls giggling, covering their ears, or pointing at her.
"What do you mean 'editing'?"
"Anything humanly possible, and maybe even humanly impossible… I don't know; I never did experiments because I dislike it." Eidolon shrugs. "But I can write 'Jeff only likes fish' and he will never eat anything else. I can write that someone knows how to speak another language and they will do it like it's natural. Rewrite memories, change their personalities… Pretty evil."
"This power is worse than telepathy," Emma says with a rare horrified face.
"I know… It doesn't really work on strong people, so whatever. It is simply my alternative before diving into people's minds with telepathy because, using this, I can simply read it from a detached perspective." He looks at her. "You know how unpleasant it can be to enter people's minds."
"Ugh… don't even remember me." It is really an unpleasant experience, especially depending on the person, but even so… if a telepath is not careful, they will feel everything the person felt while delving into some memories.
"Oh, here it is… Ah man, her??" Eidolon suddenly opens a page and groans in annoyance. Emma leans down to look, and the first thing she notices is a picture of a young woman: short blonde hair with pink-tipped ends, a huge smile, and her hugging Jeff.
"Who is she?" Emma raises an eyebrow; Eidolon seems to know this woman. The girl also piles around to look as Eidolon turns to her.
"Haah~ It's… how can I explain it? Let's say that she is from another universe, kind of the female version of my guy. It seems Jeff is destined to meet the 'pools'." Eidolon turns the page to show the guy in a red costume with black details, then moves forward to show the same girl in an obviously impaired costume, but white and pink.
Emma feels he is hiding something, but she doesn't press.
"They are not bad people… but… a talk with them will leave you with a headache. Ah, don't read their mind. Seriously. Don't." He says
"..." She never saw him so dead serious before. "Ookay… I will not."
"Good, it is for your own good… And to be clear, imagine that their brain are connected to some infinite stream of information that doesn't even them a princess, and what makes them talk jibber jabber. It is simply a coping mechanism, talking without a filter to not have their brains fried. It will fry yours." He explains in more detail.
It leaves Emma with more answers, but the important part was explained.
Not read their mind unless she wants to go crazy. She can do that; she abandoned that bad habit since… since him…
"..." She suddenly glares down at him, and Eidolon tilts his head, a little confused.
"Eeeeh… I got the information I needed." He stands up. "Gwenpool, the name of his owner, is too unpredictable, so I guess we can only wait for the day she appears, if she appears. From what I read, Jeff fell into a dimensional vortex that he doesn't understand, so we can't get more information either, but it seems to be a natural phenomenon."
"I see… if it is an accident, it may be difficult for him to be pinpointed by her, right? Can she even travel here?"
"Who knows? Everything is possible in the Multiverse." He shrugs. "I am going now, bye, girls."
"""""Bye, Papa."""""
They move in unison to hug him, and he hugs them back.
"Hmm, you will need to be responsible and take care of Jeff. We are obviously gonna help, but you all need to do your part. Having a pet is a huge responsibility." He says while patting their backs,
They all nod together while rubbing their faces on him.
"Good, I believe you all to be responsible girls- Don't lick my face, Shark! My other pets will strange the smell!"
......….
Eidolon P.O.V.
After saying goodbye to the girls and Emma, I sigh slightly.
Gwenpool, man? That will be a headache the day it happens.
Better start training then… That is why I will drop by Wade's house.
It is quick and easy to land on the balcony of his apartment; the guy is enjoying the benefits of his perfection with his girlfriend, watching a movie or something while hugging on the couch
TacTac
I hit the glass door with my knuckles, and he immediately jumped with a pistol in hand, pointing it at me.
"I am glad to see that you are always on alert, but you can put it back." It is always interesting how those 'gun aficionados' hide their toys around their homes.
There is always a secret compartment somewhere; I made a game of finding them without X-Ray every time I meet one of those.
The couch has a whole stash, the little table in the middle of the room too…
"Boss! What I owe the pleasure of you visiting our Love Lair?" He smiles widely while putting the gun away. "Is this some sort of surprise inspection? I know I am not the best at setting boundaries, but my home isn't part of my workplace. HR will hear about it."
"Your workplace is all over the world, so your home is included," I argue with his nonsense as I enter their living room. "Ms. Vanessa." I greet the woman, who gives me a big smile
"Eidolon." She extends a hand even after I only nod. I am not rude, so I shake it.
"That is a good argument." Wade points at me. "But I am pretty sure that this opens a case to some OSHA violations, no?"
"Okay, I don't call my lawyer, and you don't call yours." I roll my eyes
"Done. I still haven't really renovated my sex dungeon under all the regulations."
As he gets a playful slap from his girlfriend, I finally bring up the reason I came here to talk to him.
"I came here to talk about your last mission…"
"It isn't my fault! Those guys committed suicide! They took my gun and shot themselves in the balls! And back! Dozens of times! I was helpless to stop them!" Wade suddenly shouts with emotion.
"..."
"As a hero, I obviously tried to save them! I shouted: 'Guys… stop… you have a lot to live for. There is still time for redemption'." His 'shout' is in the softest possible voice. "It is not because you are sicko predators that you should die so painfully."
"..."
"And then they shoved pieces of wood on their own asses." Wade suddenly declares with a helpless expression, "Deep down, I think they just want to go as they lived… being perverts. I can respect that." He nods to himself while leaning back.
"...I see, a pity, huh." I deadpan.
"I think they got what they deserve." Vanessa chimes in, kissing Wade on the cheek. "We are watching some reports about this shit, and I had to stop to watch this romantic comedy to clean my brain."
"It is the common sentiment the whole world is sharing right now." I nod. "But I am not here to talk about this specifically… Wade, in your last mission, you forgot to mention that you found this strange creature." I raise my hand and manifest a hologram of Jeff from my palm.
"OOH! JEFF!!" Wade suddenly jumps, cooing with his hands on his face. "Where did you find him? I stopped him from eating some 'spoiled food' during the last job, and when I turned around, he disappeared."
I think I know what, or who, the "spoiled food" was. Good job in not letting Jeff eat that.
"So you met him only once?" I ask
"Yes. Cute little murder machine~ Look at his dark, empty killer eyes! The apex predator of the seas." Wade continues to coo at the image
"That would be the killer whales, but if you are talking about an individual… Well, Jeff is better than the average animal, but there are other monsters down there." I close my hand to dismiss the hologram. "I stumbled upon him and kinda adopted the creature."
"You did? I want joint custody! I met the little guy first!" Wade immediately starts the negotiation.
Unfortunately, I have a trump card to end it immediately.
"Ms. Vanessa… Jeff is a land shark with the power to swim through everything and eat anything. That means that he can swim through the ground and walls like it is water, and eat the furniture." I explain, sitting on a chair like a boss, crossing my legs, and joining all my fingertips together.
"Wade, we can't have a creature like this here. He is cute, but we can't." She immediately says to him.
"You…" Wade points at me with a trembling finger.
"..." I just stay still, basking in my superiority for a moment before extending the olive branch. "It is okay; you can visit, take him on walks, and everything. I am gonna arrange it later because he is with… someone that I want to keep the identity hidden."
I turn to Vanessa, apologetic. "Sorry, but it is not something I can discuss with you present. Wade is a case apart because his mind is… his mind. But the less you know about important information, the better for everyone, especially for you."
"It is okay." She raises her hands. "I also don't want to know; it sounds like big business. Do you want me to go…" She suggests, pointing to the kitchen.
"No. I will come to talk with Wade later." I am not gonna expel her from her own living room.
In the meantime, Wade is crying on some piece of cloth. "Sniff I even crocheted him a unicorn onesie." He raises the piece of cloth… Ah, it wasn't just the piece of cloth. "My baby… I also ordered a Deadpool costume for him so that we could match."
"It doesn't seem waterproof. Not optimal for a shark." I point out while looking at the thing wet with his tears and dirtied by his mucus. "Here, use these hydrophobic threads." I gave rolls of the most varied colors, but especially white and pink, which it seems that it was using.
I will also talk with Edna about making some costumes for Jeff; I bet she will like the challenge.
"Oh, thank you!" Wade immediately stopped with his fake tears. "You really carry around everything on your utility belt, huh?"
"It is from the pockets of my cloak." Actually, I just made them with Creation. Seriously, one of my favorite powers. If Heaven's Door is the devil's touch, Creation is like an angel's blessing. Yaoyorozu Momo is my angel.
"I will keep in tou-"
"Watch out, he is gonna disappear if you don't pay attention." Wade elbows Vanessa
"..." I pause
"Don't blink; he is gonna disappear. He always does that." Wade continues, the two eerily staring at me like a pair of dumbasses… they are perfect for each other.
"Nice try, but…"
The lights start flickering, threatening a blackout, but then they normalize…, and when they do, I am not there anymore.
"Son of a Martha! He did it again!" Wade slaps his knee. "That is as great as the superhero landing. Iconic!"
"That is pretty cool." Vaneesa shares his enthusiasm.
I shake my head while walking away, invisible. This is a nice couple. I was not so lucky this week, but it is nice to see other people happy.
Hmm, gonna do something nice for my women… Shego got a little jealous that I gave Emma a massage for some reason. I did it a lot for her.
......
BAMBUCHI
But before pleasure, business…
That's why I am using my precious time with my new subordinates.
I really don't like treating them like a bulk and summoning multiple of them at the same time. I want to have a proper conversation, focused, eye to eye, so that we can talk with the restaurants and I can tackle the issues of coming to this world.
Let's be honest, a sudden Isekai is a big change in the life of most people. And they are not even truly free. The Essence does the heavy work, even apparently taking the ones with the personalities more amenable to their circumstances from all versions… but I can't slack off and not do my part.
I think I am doing a good job, since the Relationship points keep increasing as I interact with them. Apparently, I am treating them the right way and making the right choices in adapting.
So I will trust my gut instinct and make a "bloody" first impression on this batch… It should be okay, right? Most of them are vampires.
SWISHBOOOM
I punch down, taking a page of Gon against Pitou and flattening one of my newest subordinates on the ground. His body smears the shallow crater I created, his blood filling the cracks.
But it is okay; the Progenitor of One Punch Man can take this much damage without really dying.
When his liquefied body, mixed with some half-destroyed bats, tries to reassemble, I…
BOOM
…punch down again.
"Now you know your place? At my feet?" I say coldly while crouching on the pool of blood that is him. I am unbothered by his blood(that is, his body) dirtying my body, and keep staring down with the best "killed-cold eyes" I can manifest.
From his perspective, my irises shine a dangerous ruby-red in the shadows covering my face, highlighting the blood on my skin.
"aah… ugh…. ng…" He makes a pitiful sound, only the lower half of his body appearing from the pool.
"I will consider that a yes." I stand up. I can feel his emotions, and the fight has completely left him.
Of everyone I summoned, this one was the poor soul that was used as an example. His own fault for speaking first.
The others are on the edge of this reinforced training ground, standing in line while watching me completely destroy this guy. I let him demonstrate his abilities for a while, to show he was actually really strong, before making my move to reveal my superiority over not only him, but everyone here.
All to make me look even better and scarier.
As I stand up, blood still coating my hands to the forearm, I slowly turn to the new batch.
Oh, look at them, all in orderly fashion and quiet… Good job~
Some of those don't deserve the "preemptive scare treatment", but I can be nice to them later. Biased? Yes, I am.
Or would anyone think I would treat Progenitor here the same as Seras Victoria?
Look at her standing at the edge, wincing a little at the brutal treatment I unleashed on her fellow vampire. It seems she still has that humanity on her.
By her side was the only one I didn't summon today: Zombieman, whom I called to check on Progenitor. The two fought in their native universe, and I want to show him that I have things under control.
Apparently, Zombieman is from the bad timeline where everyone died to Garou's Cosmic Radiation. Going back in time didn't really save them, Saitama; you just abandoned the fucked up timeline.
Well, it at least broke the cycle.
It looks like Seras will be an easy addition for my group.
The same can't be said for most of the others…
Alcina Dimistrescu, Sophia Keren, Tubalcain Alhambra, Rip Van Winkle, Carmilla and Skarlet… I can tell those will need a "firm hand", or a fist.
Briar and Rim(the pink dragon girl from the Black Company isekai manga) look easy to deal with too; they're just stuffing their faces with some meat I had in my inventory on the corner, not caring about the world.
Stussy, Serana, and Vampirella aren't showing any hostility, so I think I can lump them together with Seras… I mean, maybe they are a little more complex than the recently turned vampire.
Well, nothing I can't handle… I roll my shoulders and start walking toward them to continue their education.
