"Kieeek! Kieeeeeek!"(Don't worry bastard human! I'll kill them later!)
The crimson hobgoblin charged and was just about to swing his gigantic halberd when he heard a loud defeaning thunder.
Rumble!~
"I like the spirit, Kiddo!"
A voice was heard from atop the cliff. Akashi turned his gaze above and saw another tall figure. Except it was clearly human this time.
Shards of ice rose from the ground in front of them and blocked the gigantic halberd.
"Now let's star-"
Before the tall figure above the cliff could say a word, a shadow flew past him and went towards the crimson hobgoblin.
"Kieeek...!"(Who...!)
A man dressed in leather armor with a dark blue cloak stood in front of the wall of ice as it confront the crimson hobgoblin.
Tendrils of blue lightning snaked around his body. There was a huge scar in his left eye as half of his face was covered by a black mask.
"C'mon Marcus let me finish my words!" The tall guy above them gruntled as he descended to the ground.
Boom!~
The ground beneath his feet sank as he landed and layers of dust rose in response.
"Yo kiddos, the name is Vulcan. So how did you go and provoke a goblin lord?"
No one said a word in response as they we're flabbergasted by the superhuman abilities of the man in front of them.
"Well, chill here for a bit. I'm itching to smash some things."
It was just then that they noticed that a gigantic 3 meter hammer was leaning on his shoulder.
Without waiting for them to respond, the man named Vulcan went ahead and jumped the towering icewall in front of them.
"Storm Style, Third Form."
The man named Marcus brandished the daggers in his hand as it began to radiate a blue glow with tendrils of lightning that snaked it's surface.
"Thunder Kill"
Boom!~
A great boom sounded out and Marcus zoomed towards the crimson hobgoblin with his blade pointing forward.
The hobgoblin was caught off guard by the unexpected attack that travelled in the speed of sound.
Kieeeek!
The crimson hobgoblin's arm was pierced by the attack and his arm fell of the ground.
"Kieeek...! Kieeeek!"(Warriors...! Fight with me!)
30 hobgoblins went forward and charged towards Marcus.
Pwii~iish
Dozens of Bolts of Ice shot towards the hobgoblin killing 5 of them.
Atop the cliff stood a beautiful woman with an elegant demeanor as she radiated a cold aura within her.
She wore a pale blue gown seemingly made of frozen ice and a tiara made of ice blue crystals and a chill permeated her surroundings.
"Alice, I'll handle this." Marcus said as he charged towards the hobgoblins who stopped their charge.
The woman named Alice softly nodded his head and turned his gaze towards the goblins.
"Brother, I'll handle this."
"No, wh-"
Vulcan was just about to rebuke at the woman named Alice when he was greeted by her icy glare.
"S-Sure..." Beads of sweat trickled in his forehead as Vulcan let out a helpless smile. He complained inwardly as he went back towards Daichi and others.
Alice gazed at the Hobgoblin's gathered together around the crimson hobgoblin.
Three blue magic circles appeared in front of his hand in order. The magic circle softly rotated and it slowly encompassed each other and combined into one circle.
"Ice Wall."
Walls of Ice surrounded the bewildered hobgoblins that isolated them from the lower goblins and Alice nodded to herself in satisfaction.
Marcus stared at the group of hobgoblins in front of him as he dashed forward.
He entered the dome made of the walls of ice and brandished his daggers.
The hobgoblins did not sit idly by as they too charged towards the human in front of them. The crimson hobgoblin held the huge halberd with his left hand as he stared at his bloody hand and gazed fearfully at the human charging towards them.
Kieeeek!
"Storm Style, First Form, Looming Clouds."
A soft mist of cloud congregated in front of Marcus as it slowly grew darker as 5 hobgoblins entered it.
The 5 hobgoblins looked around them and wildly slashed their weapons everywhere with craziness.
The moment that the hobgoblins lost their sanity, a glint of blue light flashed and Marcus charged out the dark mist.
Behind him the dark mist faded out revealing 5 hobgoblins with their heads rolling on the ground.
Kieeek!
Seeing the gruesome sight, a dozen hobgoblins screeched and charged at Marcus with bloodied eyes.
Swish~
With a step, Marcus appeared in front of the leading hobgoblin and stabbed a knife in it's chest.
Marcus took a short step and twisted the blade and pushed the hobgoblin corpse towards an incoming hobgoblin.
The hobgoblins swung their clubs and swords but Marcus dodged them with little to no effort until he reached the center of the dozen of hobgoblin.
"Storm Style, Second Form, Raining blades."
Marcus spun his body and slashed his daggers in a spinning motion and countless small blades of water sprouted in his daggers and slashed at his surroundings.
Body after body fell as Marcus charged out from the encirclement and went towards the remaining hobgoblins.
The hobgoblins stared with eyes filled with fear as they slowly took a few step backwards. Seeing this, the crimson hobgoblin raised his voice laced with fear.
"Kieeeeeek!Kieek!"(What are you doing?! Attack!)
The remaining hobgoblins were seemingly tugged my a mysterious power as they charged at the human in front of them with evident hesitance.
Marcus ran towards the hobgoblins with breathtaking speed as he left a trail of water in his every step.
"[Water Trail]"
A hobgoblin slashed at his body horizontally as he ducked in a low manner and went past the hobgoblin.
He took a step and dodged a sword, spun forward and sidestepped as he went past 3 hobgoblins.
A long trail of water spread out as he went past the remaining hobgoblins. He slowed down as he walked and tapped the puddle of water beneath him directly connected to the trail of water he spreaded out.
"[Lightning Discharge]"
Battle Art: Lightning Conductor.
A surge of electricity was emitted and the trail of water became the passageways that electrifies the soaked hobgoblins.
Without a change in his calm expression, Marcus walked calmly at the battlefield as his figure began to grow faint.
"[Stealth]"
Thud!
As his figure vanished, the electrified hobgoblins fell one another and died from the shock of electricity.
"Kieeek!"(Don't run!)
The crimson hobgoblin charged out with a tensed expression towards the spot where the human vanished and swung his halberd widely without a pause.
The crimson hobgoblin went mad as he gazed around with fearful eyes. His nerves grew tensed as his muscles bulked and shockwaves slashed out.
However there was nothing. He didn't feel the presence each time he swung his blade. It was scary.
A shadow loomed in the crimson hobgoblin's heart as he grew afraid each passing of time.
His arm grew tired and it caused his halberd to pause for a moment and a voice leaked out behind him.
"[Cutthroat]"
"Kiee!-"(Who!-)
Are you?
Before he could finish his words, a deep gush of blood bursted out in his throat and his head slowly fell from his body.
The hand of the crimson hobgoblin slowly losed it's strength as the halberd grew increasingly nearer to the ground.
Tang~
A clear sound of metal rang out as his beheaded face had a livid expression of bewilderment.
Marcus stared at the headless body and grabbed a throwing knife strapped in his thigh. He imbued it with lightning mana and he threw it at the sky.
"[Lightning Discharge]"
A spark of lightning shone above the walls of ice and Marcus's figure vanished from thin air.
Alice turned his eyes at the signal given by Marcus towards her. She gazed at the goblins frozen or scrambling from fear and she held out her hand.
"O Goddess of Ice and Sorrow, Let your gaze descend upon this mortal world. You who rule upon the chill of ice and suffers from the sorrow of it, rage upon the land who dares to defy your presence. Let your divinity be known!, Blizzard of Ice, Tempest of Sorrow!"
A terrifying surge of mana coalasced in front of Alice as an ice blue aura rose up in the high sky.
A surge of chilling wind and shards of ice roared out towards in front of her.
Vulcan who watched the scene below had his eyes twitch nonstop as he stared at her sister with a flabbergasted expression.
All trace of life cease to exist in a span of 5 kilometer in front of them as a world of ice and snow engulfed the battlefield.
Marcus appeared in a not so distant place from Vulcan and he couldn't help but breath out a sigh of relief as he successfully escaped the path that the calamity took in front of him.
Goblins froze, others were killed by the huge shards of ice and others died from the bitter cold surge of winds.
A calamity.
"No matter how I look, this is an overkill."
Alice face grew pale as if turning into the white snow that ravaged the battlefield. A gaze of soft deep chill and an aura of frostbite surge out from the thin body of the elegant ice queen above them as the crown atop her head shone faintly as if sighing in satisfaction.
