On the fresh new morning in Sand City Castle's only girly bedroom, Sienna awoke next to Sarcos. She watched his handsome face and shiny raven hair cascading over his muscular shoulders. He breathed deeply, looking so innocent in his sleep that Sienna felt her heart flinch.
"I need to go to Crystal City to finish my book and find out how to free him from that Crystal Pincer!" she thought. She sneaked out of bed to go to the bathroom carefully, not to wake him up. She got ready and dressed up slowly, lacing the ribbons on her waist carefully. She tried not to make noises, but when she turned, Sarcos was already watching her quietly, sitting on the bed!
Sienna smiled and went next to him..."My love, good morning. How are you today?" She asked him sweetly...
"I miss you!"He pulled her into his embrace strongly."You fell asleep way too soon yesterday. I want my day with you!"He rasped.
"So what would you like to do?"She smiled.
"How is your belly?"He asked...
"Almost over, "Sienna nodded quite happily."But not completely." She blushed...
"Then we will rest together."Sarcos decided.
"OK," Sienna nodded and touched his cheek gently.
Sarcos cuddled her up and felt her presence. It was something so warm and peaceful about lounging together...Sienna ate some fruit from the bedside table next to them...She lay on his strong shoulder like a happy kitten, looking into his handsome face and decorated ceiling, when she noticed that Sarcos's body started to flex muscles somehow...
"Are you OK, my love?!" She asked him worriedly...
"Yes, I just need to go train again..."I have too much energy..." he sighed...
"Ah, yes, you are my overcharged battery," Sienna giggled."Do you think we can go to Crystal City then? You can train with Tyrell, no?" She asked sweetly.
"Not enough."Sarcos shook his head, thinking about who she wanted to be overchargedly battered." I should fight with someone stronger..."he noted.
"Who?" Sienna asked curiously.
"You will see," he smiled thinking to impress Sienna by training with Darren and his dragons.
"OK," Sienna nodded."I will watch you then. So, when do you think we can go Crystal City together?" She asked him innocently...
"You don't like to be here?!"Sarcos asked her seriously.
"No, I do, but I have lots of things to do there, I want to go dancing and see Tyrell as well. "She said carefully.
"Do you miss him that much?" Sarcos furrowed his brows...
"Well, I miss everyone. I was thinking you said to spend some time in Crystal City together," Sienna smiled innocently...
"Hm, yes, I did. Let's go today, then, if you are so inpatient."Sarcos said, thinking.
Sienna just nodded her head happily. She stood up quickly and started to get ready.
Sarcos bit his lip. He was a little upset when he watched her excitement, but it was actually good for him too... He needed to find Darren to fight, because he couldn't rest for too long. He had to practise taming Crystal Pincer anyway.
The strong Scorpion King led Sienna to the atrium of his Castle, where Bran in his eagle form and Voltoire in his vulture form were waiting. Sarcos lifted Sienna to the strong Eagle's shoulders, and Sarcos went with Voltoire. The vulture was keeping himself in the shadows lately, Sarcos sent him back to his tribe to run errands, but Sienna was quite happy to see him...
"Voltoire..." she smiled happily.
"Glad you are well, my Queen." He screeched as he lifted with Sarcos to the fresh blue sky.
Sarcos and Sienna flew on the backs of the bird warriors under the warm sun. Sienna felt so free suddenly. She held onto Bran, touching his feathers lightly, they were strong, silky soft and beautiful brownish colour...
"I'm so happy to see you, "she whispered to him while she watched the countryside below them. Bran felt his heart stop. He liked his Queen, and, feeling her on his back, he wanted to protect her till his last breath.
Sienna really enjoyed the flight; it became a bit chilly as they were closing on Crystal City, but beautiful. She glanced at Sarcos a few times and smiled at him..., he was so handsome, but looked too serious. Sienna was not sure what he thought about and rather just watched.
When the outlines of Crystal City appeared within the land, Sienna noticed that the stone fortifications were bigger than before and freshly made. The memory of fire dragons destroying the city flashed in her mind, and she realised that this city and all the people within it could be all gone if she did not pass around there that night with Tyrell!
"Bran, thank you for taking care of Crystal City that day..." she whispered to the strong Eagle..."You were very brave and talked so well."She nodded...
"It was my duty, "he said," But it was you who saved us all," he added appreciating.
Sienna and Sarcos landed in the atrium of Tiger Castle, and Tyrell went to greet them. Sienna smiled and hugged the handsome tiger...
" I missed you so much..." she kissed his cheek.
Tyrell felt as Sarcos glared at him with dire jealousy and rather held her hand. "Welcome, brother," he invited Sarcos politely.
Sienna went straight to see her turqoise room till the two Kings talked, and Bran followed after her. Voltoire stood next to Sarcos, waiting for his orders, glancing after Bran with quiet scorn. He hated to be a slave!
Sienna opened the door to her turquoise room happily. She missed it there. She sat at her mirror and retouched her hair, dishevelled from the wind. She looked at herself in the mirror and planned in her head when to finish copying the book of the Legends of the Crystal Emperor.
After a while, Tyrell came to see Sienna in her room. He was carrying a huge wooden chest. He placed it near her table with a serious look on his face and a little sombre mood.
"What is it?"Sienna asked curiously.
Tyrell opened the chest, and it was full of small toys!
Sienna furrowed her brows, surprised. She picked some of the toys, and each of them was different and had a name written on it...
"Ahh, they are so cute." Sienna smiled at him," But why would I need so many toys for?" She asked, dumbfounded." I will be happy with one...I do like them, and they have so interesting names," she smiled a little perplexed by the utterly unusual gift.
"These are presents from the kids of Crystal City." Tyrell looked at her seriously.
"From kids?" Sienna felt her heart flinch...
"Each child gave you a toy with their name as thanks for saving them..."Tyrell bit his lips, feeling guilty.
"Aw, that is so sweet."Sienna felt her heart throb painfully." All these kids will not be here if I do not go with Thunder!" The realisation hit her hard, and her head became almost dizzy..."So many toys, so many children!"
"In that case, I will cherish them all," Sienna nodded, her eyes tearing as she started to take the toys out. She read the names one by one as she placed the toys on the table. She organised them in lines of ten, because there were so many of them...
She counted 546 toys, and her heart stopped.
"So many..." She whispered.
"Yes," Tyrell noted.
Sienna looked at the toys, she thought about the parents too, so many people... It was almost scary to see how many lives were depending on her that night!
"Are you OK, my love?" Tyrell hugged her waist from behind as Sienna was staring at the toys quietly. He felt she was sinking it in...
"Yes, I should thank the children." She bit her lips." I will send each a thank-you card." She decided.
"You do not need to. I can just announce your thanks." Tyrell noted practically.
"That will not do," Sienna shook her head." I will write them personally."She decided.
"Please, help me get some hard paper," she turned to Tyrell pleadingly.
"I like to make heart-shaped cards."She said to him gently."To show the children that they are in my heart."She bit her lips.
"Ok, as you wish, I will send Bran to help you. I go back to the office then."Tyrell kissed her cheek and left. Sienna sat at the table and stared at the toys...her head was spinning. Suddenly, accepting the dumb Dragon King did not seem so pointless at all!
She thought about Thunder and touched his mark..."Does his heart flinch?" She wondered, "Can I give him a heart attack if I keep pressing it?" She chuckled to herself a little viciously."Cruel man, so many children!"She bit her lips angrily."The men are so ignorant in their wars, always hurting innocents," she grumbled and pinched her mark strongly a few more times just to show him!
The light knock on the door disturbed her thinking and Bran came in. The tall eagle captain brought a lot of paper, scissors and black, blue and red inks.
"I have all you requested and more," he announced."I'm ready to help!"
"Thank you, Bran." Sienna smiled and took the paper from his hands and spread it onto her bed. The table was too full, so she took a wooden drawing desk to use as a hard writing base. Bran watched as Sienna made him a template for heart shape card. "Please cut me loads of these..."She asked sweetely," We need 546, to be exact..." she added a little sadly.
"You did well."Bran looked at her..." The kids will surely be happy to receive a reply from you. "He smiled...
Sienna nodded and watched as Bran cut the hearts out. She took an ink pen and started writing thank-you notes on the first hearts he handed her.
Sienna spent all day replying to children and writing their names on the card. Her hand was aching from so much writing, so she was glad Bran helped her cut the shapes out. The hearts were stacked neatly at her drawing desk, as Sienna double checked with Bran if she had not forgotten anyone...Sienna was reading the names on the hearts, and Bran was sorting the toys, which had names read.
"All done."Bran smiled as she read the last card.
"Yes, Bran. "She nodded."Thank you so much for helping me. Now we have to think of how to deliver them."She looked at him a little hopelessly. She realised she had no idea of how ordinary people received letters!
"Have no worries, my Queen." Bran understood her stupor suddenly."My men will help me to deliver it till dawn today."Bran reassured her.
"That will be amazing," Sienna said excitedly and packed the cards inside an empty silken pillowcase. She had no bags handy! Bran smiled, took the cards and went out.
Sienna stretched her hands and ate some fruit from the bowl on the table. She felt like "the work was well done".She took the toys and placed them neatly back into the chest, but she could not bear to close it, so she left it open to display them. Her heart ached as she looked at them, but she was happy!
