"You're not kidding, are you?"
Tiffany scoffed. "You think I'd joke about these kinds of things?"
Lilly Rose stared at Tiffany and felt pity for her friend. She knew Tiffany's lifestyle and she could not imagine her not having any money to support her.
"But why?" She uttered in total confusion.
Tiffany shook her head and regretted talking about one of her biggest insecurities. She sighed and gritted her teeth. She hated the pity that was in Lilly Rose's eyes. She hated being patronized the most, especially if it was Lilly Rose.
She turned her head away from Lilly Rose's gaze and her eyes landed on the guy, three tables away from them, staring at her. She pretended that she did not notice the man that was staring in their direction but she wondered if he was the buyer that was checking if it was safe to buy from the people she was working with.
