Chapter 7 - An Old "Friend"

"a loan?" the teller asks,

"Yeah, a $5,000 loan to be exact," I answer.

"what do you have for collateral?" she inquires as she calls over the manager.

"I have an $8,000 watch in my car. let me go grab it" I continue, as I turn I see him the man who caused my downfall

A rather short stereotypically Italian mob boss like character, 3 piece suit with a gold watch and a gold crucifix around his neck, and in stark contrast of his clothing, a thinning come over. While he may look like a mob boss he is pretty much middle management.

"sir what brings you to the casino?" he asked. "I'm looking to gamble. obviously," I snark,

"and you need a loan?" he examines,

"Yeah, can you get me one or is there going to be a problem?" I respond

"No problem as long as you have a piece of collateral." he answers

"It's in my car, I was on my way to get it when I was so rudely interrupted." I sneer as I give him side eye.

I continue outside and out of eyeshot of the cameras

write down in the book to get a watch, and I need just one more entry, a foolproof way to rob this casino blind, on the first day of the first month of 2013 there is a 100% chance that I will never ever lose a game from now on.

a voice rings in my head, I try a few more things, like I will never lose at card games, or at table games, but finally it worked on not losing at this particular casino. I walk in and hand the teller the watch and the manager confirms its value. He hands me $5,000 in chips and I walk out onto the casino floor. The casino is full of the usual crowd, middle aged addicts and mobbed up businessmen and politicians. I look around for the highest bet table I can get to with my 5k and get set up at a roulette table,

"put it all on red!" I shout,

the dealer lets the ball lose as the wheel gets up to speed, and obviously as the ball slows it lands right on red. I gather my chips as 2 participants storm off.

"Good Game," I say to the one of the guys leaving the table,

"Fuck You," he says under his breath as he nods in affirmation.
