Chapter 9 - Late

Itsuki was already waiting for Sakurako's arrival at the T-junction, not far from Takumi's house. Itsuki wasn't afraid to pick up Sakurako at Takumi's house, but the girl forbade it. Sakurako didn't want to make Takumi angry. So, Sakurako told Itsuki to just wait at the T-junction, according to their plan yesterday.

Itsuki greeted Sakurako with such a gentle smile.

"Have you been waiting long?" asked Sakurako as she was right in front of Itsuki. She felt a little embarrassed actually. That was a ridiculous question. Judging from Itsuki's flushed face, he must have been waiting for Sakurako for a long time. Itsuki was hot from earlier maybe.

Sakurako looked down, looking very sorry.

"Sorry," she whispered.

"It's okay to wait for a girl as cute as you are, Rako-chan. So don't feel so guilty like that!"

Sakurako blushed. She looked away from Itsuki's gaze.

"So, shall we start shopping?"

"Okay, come on!" asked Sakurako, looking cheerful as usual.

They walk side by side. Itsuki repeatedly tried to hold Sakurako's hand, but he always refused. He was afraid that in the end Sakurako would feel uncomfortable being treated like that by Itsuki. So, Itsuki gave up on being aggressive towards Sakurako.

They plan to cook this week. A few days ago, Sakurako tried Itsuki's lunch and she liked it. Therefore she wants to learn to cook with Itsuki.

Sakurako was indeed good at cooking, but the food Itsuki brought every school was delicious and a little strange on the tongue. So, Sakurako wanted to cook like Itsuki. Sakurako really likes weirdness. So, it wouldn't be wrong if Takumi called her a 'weird girl' right?

Then, how does Itsuki and Sakurako keep seeing each other? Of course. Every day also Sakuako always follows Takumi to school. And while waiting for Takumi to study, Sakurako waited at the cafe near Takumi's school.

It was more fun for Sakurako than having to stay at home alone. Luckily yesterday, Takumi's older sister came home, so tomorrow is Monday, Sakurako doesn't need to follow Takumi to school anymore.

After walking a few meters, Sakurako and Itsuki arrived at the traditional market. They began to choose the ingredients needed for cooking.

"Do you like this, Rako-chan?" Itsuki stopped in front of a line of fresh fish.

"I like it, I really like it. It looks like it's really good if we process food with fresh fish ingredients, Itsuki-kun."

"Okay, let's buy this," Itsuki said to which Sakurako nodded.

"Auntie, I bought a kilo of this fish."

"Ah, you're a newlywed couple?" asked the fishmonger's aunt.

"Do we look like that, Ma'am?" Itsuki replied with a question to the fishmonger's aunt.

"You guys look so well matched and matched," said Aunt earlier. "Here, your fish. I'm a little extra for a young couple like you."

"Thank you very much, Auntie. Sorry to bother you." Sakurako was feeling shy right now.

After buying groceries, Itsuki invites Sakurako to stop by a clothing store.

"Itsuki-kun, why are we here?" asked Sakurako.

"Of course to buy you clothes. The design of the clothes you are currently wearing looks old-fashioned."

"Really? But, I like it. Hmm, if you insist, I will choose hehehe."

Sakurako chose various clothes and all of them had a picture of a fox.

Takumi grumbled annoyed at his house. Countless how many times a pair of beads glanced at the clock hanging on the bedroom wall. The night was getting late, but Sakurako didn't come home.

In addition to the anxiety he was packing, Takumi was also annoyed and angry knowing Sakurako was now with Itsuki. He don't know where they were, just imagining it irritated him to death.

Takumi shook his head roughly, why would he think of them anyway. Wouldn't it be better if he closed his eyes and landed in dreamland?

Takumi immediately wrapped himself in a blanket, turned off the light on the nightstand and closed his eyes tightly. Hoping to immediately enter the subconscious and pick up dreams until dawn.

"Tsk, dammit!"

Even though his eyes were closed but his mind kept wandering imagining the face of a cute girl half crazy. Sakurako! Sakurako! Sakurako!

Oh Kami-sama! What's with him? Takumi screamed in his heart.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. Without realizing it, Takumi immediately jumped off the bed and ran towards the entrance. Guessing it must be Sakurako.

Arriving at the door, Takumi calmed himself from his racing heart. Putting on a half-drowsy annoyed look as if his deep sleep was disturbed by a cursed person.

The door was opened, the faces of two familiar people there.

"I'm home, Takumi-kun." Sakurako squeaked knowing Takumi's aura was so dark.

"You're home, eh? What time is it? Don't you know the time? You really are an idiot!"

"I'm sorry, Takumi-kun, I just---"

"I don't need an explanation from you! You've disturbed my good sleep! Come and go as you please! You think I'm not tired of waiting for you?"

Sakurako bit the corner of her lip, scared. While Itsuki frowned not liking the way Takumi snapped at Sakurako.

"Hey, can you talk to her better?" Itsuki hissed.

Now Takumi turned to look at the young man who dyed his hair blonde. "Ah, I forgot that you guys were just having fun. Wouldn't it be better if you didn't have to go home? After all, this girl was just a ride. It's no use!"

Sakurako looked down at every word that Takumi said so cold and piercing. Meanwhile, Itsuki clenched his jaw, fists clenched ready to lunge but was restrained with all his might.

Itsuki let out a long snort, trying to suppress his anger with all his might. Then he held Sakurako's tiny hand, staring gently at the Amethys beads.

"Rako-chan, it seems she doesn't accept you. Come, come with me! Better stay at my house." Itsuki snuck in a gentle reassuring smile.

"But," Sakurako hesitated, then turned her face to look at Takumi who was now looking away.
