Heat emanated from Idris' body. The gorilla groaned in pain as its hand began to burn with black flames covering it.
It retracted its arm and shook it to put out the fire. After noticing that it didn't work, it created masses of earth, hardened them and put them on its hand.
The flames slowly began to extinct. The gorilla looked at Idris with a hateful gaze. But then it noticed the transformation he had gone through.
Black fire covering his body, two horns on his forehead, red eyes and a white mouth. Idris looked scary and the gorilla became a bit anxious.
He stared at the boss and then... he disappeared. Before the beast could wonder where he was, Idris appeared again, this time in front of its face. A punch with great power landed in its face, making it fly backwards dozens of metres.
A cloud of dust arose as the ground trembled, because of the impact of the gorillas big body.
Before it could stand up again, a little black ball came flying at it. When it touched the boss, it began to extend until it was as big as a basketball. Then a sudden explosion followed.
The explosion was two kilometres in diameter and destroyed a great part of the forest. Flames began to spread wildly and other animals were mercilessly killed.
As the smoke disbanded a little, Idris moved towards the body of the beast. It layed with the back on the ground, burns all over its skin. The regeneration abilities of the gorilla were unable to hold up with all the new wounds appearing on its body.
As he came near the boss, ten black spheres started to form behind Idris. They were out of pure darkness energy. That's why they were so destructive.
Idris waved his hand. One after another ball rained down, causing more destruction. No life was in this part of the forest anymore. A huge crater had been formed. In the middle layed the corpse of the gorilla.
Idris hadn't used his full power and held back, but it was still so strong. He walked towards the corpse, as it began to dissipate. An orb appeared instead. Besides it, another scroll.
He was sure now. Every time he killed a beast that has a higher cultivation level than him, a technique materialized.
He also created another hypothesis. His transformation had formed claws and wings. He believed it came from the layer his darkness element was on. So he thought, when it would advance further, new things would grow on his body.
He took the orb, retracting the spirit from inside and making the beast his subordinate. It was by far the strongest monster he had fought until now and also the most powerful beast he made his shadow.
Then he grabbed the scroll and opened it. "Sun-Moon-Cycle Technique" stood on top of the page. Idris had to have his light and darkness elemts on the 9th layer ro train it. That meant that he had to raise both of their levels as fast as possible. It also implied that techniques had restrictions.
A green crystal appeared before Idris. He rook it and returned to the school. While doing so he transformed to his normal form again.
As he materialized inside the building, he stumbled forwards. It was the second time now he had used up too much mana. He was completely exhausted and fell onto the ground, unconscious.

Idris slowly opened his eyes. Bright light flashed into them, but he kept going. He was in a relatively light-colored room. He layed on a white bed.
He stood up immediately, after not realizing where he was. It looked like he was still in the school, but he didn't know this room.
He saw a door on his side and wanted ro open it. But before he could reach the handle, the door swung open.
Herbert, the headmaster, appeared. He had a slightly surprised expression.
"Oh, Idris, you're awake." He said after seeing him.
"Yes, but where am I and how did I get here?" Idris asked.
Herbert laughed and answered him: "Hahaha, you're in my office. I found you downstairs in front of the crystals. You were unconscious and I didn't know where else to bring you."
"So that's how it is." Idris retorted.
"But it's good that you're already here. I have to speak with you about something. We can still delay the talk, but I would certainly like to converse now." The headmaster said.
Idris looked at the ceiling, thinking about it and then retorted: "I have nothing else to do, so please start. I'm quite interested in what you have to tell me."
"Then I'll begin now. It's about the tournament I've already told you about. It's new date is in one year. I don't exactly know why it's been brought forward, but there's nothing to do anymore.
I will also tell you about the participants and how to qualify. Firstly, 10 schools from different kingdoms will come and represent them.
For our school to be chosen, we need to fight with 5 other schools from our own kingdom. This event is going to be held in half a year.
There's only one child we need to be aware of. It's a boy, who's name is Andie Watson. He's currently at the middle stage of 6th layer Body Tempering Realm.
Apart from him, in the other kingdoms is also one strong child each. The most powerful though is a girl named Laila Estgate. She's the princess of the Amorite Kingdom and her cultivation is at the advanced stage of 9th layer Body Tempering Realm.
The other nine I've just mentioned are in-between those two. Apart from that, what layer are you on?" He compressed all information as good as possible.
Idris answered honestly: "I'm at the advanced stage of the 1st layer Martial Beginner Realm."
Herbert raised his eyebrows and said: "That's not bad. By the way, we'll keep you a secret for the rime being. You'll only need to train and show your strength in the tournament in six months."
Idris nodded in understanding. He would now attend some of the classes first, hoping to learn something new. If that didn't work, he would just keep raiding the dungeons.
Now he needed to go home and sleep a bit more. Tomorrow, he would consume the beast spirits he had gathered today.
