We stopped working because Patrick and Otto found something inside the sixth room. So far, we have cleared out five rooms.
Those five rooms were filled with nothing but sand, but the sixth room held artifacts: small clay figurines.
I told Patrick, Otto, and Hank to come with me. The four of us walked into the sixth room, and my gaze immediately fell on the clay figurines.
They were shaped like humans and monsters, painted in blue and green. Internally, I was surprised.
I didn't expect to find signs of habitation. It was possible that people had lived here.
Otto, Patrick, and Hank were observing the figurines as well. Each of them had different ideas.
"What do you guys think?" I asked.
Patrick said, "It appears that people lived here long ago."
"Maybe tribes lived here in old times. Back then, this place could have been a normal forest," Otto said.
