** David's POV **
I opened my eyes. My head was throbbing. Just how much did I have to drink? And when did I make it to my bed? Shit! Where's Abigail? I looked to my left and my right she wasn't there. Wait a minute. What is Erick doing sleeping on the chair in my room? Just what happened last night?
I threw the covers back. Were my clothes still on? Yes, ok, good. The sound the blankets made startled Erick, and he began to rub his eyes and sit up. "Um, I don't mean to be rude, but what the hell happened last night, and why are you here and not Abigail?"
"You don't remember anything?" He looked at me, puzzled.
"The last thing I remember was drinking with Abigail in my kitchen. I was trying to find a way to tell her about Elizabeth. I thought it was best she heard it from me, but it was harder to talk about than I anticipated." The light coming in from the window seemed like a spotlight coming in. I walked over and closed my blinds. It was still too bright, but it helped.
