"Claire, you said that without batting an eye," Sebastian said, giving a thumbs-up.
"Pay attention in class, okay," Claire Green glanced at him casually, the last word clearly carried a threat.
Sebastian's body stiffened slightly. Could Claire's double standards be any more obvious?
Resigned, he tucked his head back in, straightened his spine, and focused on the lecture.
John Sinclair smiled, "Hey, Fatty, why so quiet all of a sudden? Just because Claire said a word and you suddenly became a model student!"
As he spoke, he kicked Sebastian's chair.
Suddenly, he felt a chill down his spine, turned his head sharply, and saw Claire Green looking at him with idle amusement.
"Go on, speak," Claire raised an eyebrow, smiling faintly.
Under her gaze, he didn't dare utter another word.
He was sure that if he spoke any further, he'd be the next subject of her attention.
John Sinclair shook his head vigorously, obediently took out his book, and stared intently at the blackboard.
