BZZTTT—- BZZTTT—
The light in the lab kept flickering as the wires from the apparatus short-circuited.
"W-What's happening!?" Olivia looked towards Veronica, shock and worry apparent in her tone.
Veronica's hands formed a mirage as she pressed various buttons and tapped the screen in an attempt to pinpoint the problem and solve it.
Seeing that her friend was too focused to even respond, Olivia immediately went over to the capsule that contained Nana inside and breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that nothing was happening to it.
Looking at the capsule that held Zen, she could not help but mutter, "Just what the hell's happening…"
'There's no virus. No problem with the system as well. All the other systems are operating normally, but the output provided by Zen's body is too much… how could a normal human survive this?'
Veronica's mind worked in overdrive as she thought of countless hypotheses while her hands remained busy at the control panel.
After a few moments, she could not help but shout, "Zen, are you okay!?"
'Huh? Why does Aunt Veronica's voice sound urgent?' Zen, who was inside the capsule, did not know of the chaos that was happening outside due to the excellent soundproofing.
It did not take long for him to realize that something must have gone wrong, considering how loud Veronica's shout was.
Thus, he opened his eyes in the next second, only to be shocked at the scene outside the capsule.
Through the transparent glass, Zen could see that various wires connected to the capsule he was in were short-circuiting while the lights were flickering.
'Oh shoot!'
With his 111 points of intelligence that enhanced his brain past the limits of superhumans and much closer to divine entities, he was able to quickly come up with an idea.
'Let's try this…'
Zen thought as he tried controlling the evil energy, divine energy, and the mana he had just converted, along with the use of his [Cell Control].
He tried every means possible to restrain the raw energy coming from him to the best of his abilities.
'Oh my god, Commander and Boss are gonna kill me if their son gets hurt…' Veronica thought, trying her best to remain calm as she reached for a huge red button covered with glass.
She flipped the glass cover and reached for the forced shut-down button that could cut the power to the lab.
However, before she could press on it, the flickering lights and the short-circuiting wires suddenly calmed down.
Both her and Olivia's eyes shot toward Zen's capsule, only to see him giving them a thumbs-up.
Olivia and Veronica heaved a heavy sigh as they involuntarily slumped on the ground.
"Thank goodness…" Veronica muttered as she wiped the sweat off her forehead with the sleeve of her white lab coat.
After a few moments, the two women gained their composure once again as they decided to continue with the examination.
Veronica's hands once again manipulated the control panel before her smoothly with Olivia by her side.
Not long after, the overall situation of Zen's body was presented on the screen before them in the form of numbers and strings of data.
"This is…" Olivia was the first to react as she could not help but cover her mouth.
Veronica's eyes also widened as her glasses fell off her face, "I know… These measurements aren't something that a human can have… It feels as if… he's something far beyond human already."
"Careful with your words, lest you get misunderstood. But if this is the power that could be gained from the game, then…"
"It will be catastrophic."
Veronica and Olivia's eyes met, a knowing light showing within.
Due to the current situation, it was impossible for them to be aware that Zen's case was truly a special one that could never be replicated by anyone.
After a few seconds of examining the data, Olivia spoke, "Let's see his X-ray."
"On it…" Veronica clicked a button as Zen's full body scan presented itself before them.
Due to the advancement of technology, and the fact that what they were using at the moment could be considered state-of-the-art, the capsule Zen was in was capable of performing all Full-Body MRI, CT Scan, PET Scan, and other various advanced analysis technologies that could present every aspect of his body with utmost precision.
Upon seeing the image before them, the two women's lips formed an "o" shape due to the sheer surprise both of them were feeling.
"H-He… Does he really have two hearts?" Olivia could not help but stammer.
Veronica had a wry smile on her face, "Somehow, that second heart is less surprising than the thing in his other heart."
The advanced technology of today could not miss even the smallest detail inside a patient's body.
At this moment, however, the two of them saw that a part of the screen had 'glitched'.
Specifically, it was the part where Zen's original heart was located— on his left chest.
It seemed as if there was something there that could not be fully comprehended by the machine itself, despite it being one of the most advanced in the current era.
Veronica soon shook her head, "It's better for us not to meddle too much. We'll first let Zen know to see if he's aware of it. We'll also need to ask for his consent before we can tell Commander and the others."
"If you say so…" Although Olivia was confused, she still agreed as Veronica was the expert in these kinds of things.
Phuh—
The capsule released a white gas as the glass slowly lifted, followed by Zen's figure coming outside.
"Ugh! It felt like I spent a year in there!" He said out loud while stretching.
Looking at the carefree depression on his face, Veronica and Olivia could not help but shake their heads.
Seeing their reactions, Zen tilted his head, "By the way, what happened back then, Aunties?"
"We'll brief you on the way out." Veronica fixed her glasses and coat with a clipboard in her hand.
Meanwhile, Olivia giggled and said, "Our dear nephew, I know that your body is nice to look at, but don't you think it's time to wear your shirt now?"
At her words, Zen seemed to have realized something as he hurriedly looked for his clothes.
'So that's why it was so breezy!"
