His sudden voice startled her. Unused to being so intimate with him again, Rebecca Quentin immediately pulled away from him and jumped back. Once some distance was between them, she finally replied, "The hotel owner said there was just a typhoon warning on the TV. They said it's not suitable to travel today. The typhoon is expected to leave tonight, and the rain might lessen tomorrow."
Spending a night here with Rebecca Quentin was, of course, something Howard Geoffrey found very convenient...
