Rebecca Quentin smiled and walked over. "Mr. Jones."
Skyler Jones adjusted his sitting position, considerate as always. "I know you like Blue Mountain coffee without sugar. I've already ordered it for you."
"Thank you."
Picking up the coffee, Rebecca sipped it gently.
Staring intently at Rebecca, Skyler asked, "Becca, is it too sudden for me to ask to meet you again?"
Rebecca set down the coffee cup and shook her head. "Mr. Jones, if you're willing, we can still be friends."
Skyler smiled and picked up his coffee.
Full of guilt, Rebecca blurted out, "Mr. Jones, I am so sorry about... well, about us. But please believe me, I was serious about our relationship during those days I was trying to date you. I genuinely considered a future for us, but I just couldn't move on from my past."
"I've said before, we don't need explanations between us."
