Rebecca Quentin was leaning against Howard Geoffrey's firm chest, her voice choked with sorrow. "I don't care how deep your feelings for Christine Quinn are. Since you involved me and made me so many unverified promises, you owe me an answer about her."
Howard kissed Becca's eyelashes, his voice tender. "Silly girl, haven't I already given you my answer?"
Rebecca abruptly looked up into Howard's deep, unfathomable eyes and pouted. "When did you give me an answer? Since we came back from the island, you've been ignoring me. Then you left with Christine. You never said anything to me. Even when you called me last night, you didn't seem to want to say a few words to me over the phone..."
"I was busy then."
Rebecca huffed angrily. "If you really care about me, what could be more important than appeasing me?" In front of him, she was always short-tempered for no reason, simply because she felt so insecure deep down.
"Silly girl... Just watch the TV."
