Arriving at the office desk, Solicitor Scott courteously called out, "Lady Geoffrey."
Seeing the familiar lawyer, Becca was somewhat surprised. She stood up and said, "Oh, it's you. Please, have a seat."
"I won't sit, thank you." At that moment, Solicitor Scott straightened his posture and said in a professional tone, "Lady Geoffrey, I am here today on behalf of Mr. Geoffrey to request a divorce."
Becca's hands, resting at her sides, visibly stilled.
Upon hearing Solicitor Scott's words, Secretary Shaw, who had been looking down, lifted his head in shock.
After a moment, Becca nodded lightly. "I have something I need to attend to. If you have the time, please wait for me here. We can talk later."
Solicitor Scott replied, "Alright."
"Ye, please pour Solicitor Scott a glass of water. I might be a little late," Becca said to her assistant, who was standing outside the door.
"Alright."
"Secretary Shaw, let's go."
