Rebecca Quentin kept her back to him, ignoring him completely.
Howard Geoffrey didn't press the issue and turned to leave the room.
Seeing Geoffrey go, Rebecca hesitated. Should I follow him? Before she could decide, he had already turned back. With a gentle yet dangerous tone, he asked, "You wouldn't try to leave while I'm gone, would you?"
Would she dare? The urge to shout back at him died, replaced by a dejected lowering of her eyes. Rebecca could only grit her teeth, hating him inwardly.
Geoffrey then closed the door and left.

Rebecca had just finished her bath and changed into clean clothes. As she stepped out of the bathroom, she saw Geoffrey already standing in the room.
Rebecca froze, her brow furrowing. "You... why are you still here?"
"Did I say I wasn't going to rest here?"
Rebecca's eyes widened. Geoffrey, however, had already walked into the bathroom.
