Lin Nuan looked at that hand, glanced up, and saw Ning Shiyu's face.
She had been a little hazy, but the moment she saw Ning Shiyu, she instantly sobered up. In a burst of energy, Lin Nuan grabbed the wine glass and tossed Ning Shiyu's hand aside, some red wine spilling onto the back of his hand.
"Lin Nuan." Ning Shiyu called her name, furious and low.
Lin Nuan beamed: "Thank you for the hospitality, President Zhou. Lin Nuan accepts it."
With that, Lin Nuan tilted her head back and downed the red wine in one gulp.
Ning Shiyu's right hand, which he had pulled back, unconsciously clenched into a fist. This woman must be desperate for any man; whose goddamn wine wouldn't she drink?
"Shiyu, let me wipe your hand off." Ye Ke took Ning Shiyu's hand and started wiping the wine stains on his hand with a wet tissue.
While Lin Nuan joked and laughed, out of the corner of her eye she caught every bit of Ning Shiyu and Ye Ke's lovey-dovey display. To be this shameless is a talent all its own.
Later, other people tried to get Lin Nuan to drink, but the moment Ning Shiyu's face darkened, they all shrank back, though nobody could quite figure out what his relationship with her was.
All they knew was that Ning Shiyu was protecting her.
When the event was over, Lin Nuan walked a little unsteadily.
Everyone kindly offered to walk her out or call someone to drive her, but Lin Nuan refused them all, insisting on driving herself.
Leaning crookedly against the car door, Lin Nuan tugged at the handle several times, but couldn't get it open.
"Madam, the BOSS asked me to take you home." Zhuo Fan suddenly appeared.
Lin Nuan rubbed her temples, lazily glanced at him: "Oh, it's Assistant Zhuo. I don't need you to take me, go look after your BOSS."
