Emma nestled in Norton Jarvis's arms, holding him tightly, and said, "Norton, thank you, thank you, I lost my mind earlier."
"You're a mother, not losing your mind would be abnormal." Norton gently patted her back to comfort her, and said, "I thought about it all night and felt that stealing the antidote from Bruce is the most urgent thing."
"No, we can't steal it."
"Why?"
"Bruce is a man with deep schemes; he quantifies everything he does. If he finds the antidote missing, he'll immediately suspect us, and therefore realize we know that Daniel is poisoned. This means he'll figure out that we've had private contact with Daniel and might move Daniel somewhere else."
Upon hearing this, Norton fell silent. He had witnessed Michael's death from poisoning and also Gem Atkinson's poisoning, understanding what poison meant to a person. So, he had considered, to ensure Daniel's safety, that they needed to obtain the antidote before rescuing him.
