The lights are still on in the Tower opposite, indicating that Daniel hasn't slept yet.
"Right now, Bruce must be telling Daniel a bedtime story," Seventeen said melancholically.
"Ha ha," laughed Norton Jarvis, patting Seventeen's back, "You really think Bruce is a good father?"
"Daniel clings to him so much, he doesn't even look at me. When he looks at me, it's full of caution and disdain..." As she spoke, Seventeen's voice choked up a bit.
Norton Jarvis patted her back again, saying, "You're just over-concerned. Come on, let's have some wine to calm your emotions."
Saying this, Norton Jarvis helped Seventeen to sit on the couch, walked to the table, poured two glasses of red wine, held them, walked to Seventeen's side, handed a glass to her, and then said, "Don't you think Daniel's behavior is very strange?"
"I only know he resents me, doesn't let me touch him at all."
