Upon hearing the familiar voice and feeling a bottle placed near her lips, the pungent smell of alcohol brought Seventeen back to her senses.
"This is... alcohol?"
"Thank heavens, not only did we find two bottles of wine, but we also found half a bottle of whiskey," Norton's voice was tinged with excitement.
Whiskey is strong liquor, and in this icy seawater, it's as good as any miraculous medicine. The instinct to survive made Seventeen open her mouth and take a hearty sip.
With that gulp, even her feet, which had gone numb from the cold, could feel again, and she wiggled her big toe. She excitedly exclaimed, "Norton, I can move them, I can move my toes."
Norton laughed and said, "I told you, we're going to be fine."
"Quick, you should have a sip too."
