Chapter 75 - Chapter 74: Beach Trip #2

My head leaning against the window I watched the scenery pass by as the train took our group towards our destination.

Rockaway Beach.

Sitting beside me Gwen leaned her head gently against my shoulder.

Harry and Liz mirroring us in the seats right across from ours.

While poor Ned was getting taken for all that he was worth by Felicia in their seats across the aisle in Uno.

The pair having just started their third game, Felicia not having lost once, this she had claimed most of Neds poker money.

It's honestly sad to watch.

But Ned dug his own grave agreeing to play cards with Felicia on the first place. To say nothing of the fact he keeps going back for more.

Wait?

Is Ned perhaps a masochist?

As I suddenly found myself with that train of thought, no pun intended this time, I couldn't help but notice Liz start to sweat.

Which made no sense since the AC inside of the train car is basically on full blast right now, given the humidity level today.

"Liz, you okay?" I asked her.

"Mhm, yeah I'm fine. Why?"

"Well given the fact you're actually working up a sweat in this ice box of a train car I'm a bit concerned."

"Oh, no need." Liz reassured me. "I've also run hotter than most, and have been known to easily sweat. But thanks for the concern Peter."

"Okay." I replied.

But that doesn't mean I was going to drop the matter.

Looks like I'll need to keep an eye on Liz.

After resolving myself to watch her a bit more closely I went back to watching the scenery out of the train window.

***

Feeling the train coming to a stop I gently nudged Gwen.

"Wake up, we're here." I said.

When I did Gwen opened her eyes.

Once she did I stood up, the others joining me.

Even Ned.

Who looked slightly haggard, despite Felicia having given him his money back from their Uno matches.

But constantly having to deal with Felicia myself I could understand why Ned was feeling the way he is.

But I'm sure once he's on the beach his move will flip.

Hopefully.

Moving on.

All of us grabbed our stuff and left the train.

Once we did we headed straight for the beach.

Where thankfully there weren't a lot of people yet. Thus we were able to find a prime piece of real estate quite easily.

Once we did I opened up my bag and pulled out a big blanket, which I laid down in the samd.

I then pulled out and set up a giant umbrella.

"Okay, and with this our beach day has begin!" I declared.

"Actually not yet Parker. Not until all of us our in our swimsuits." Felicia said.

"Mhm,c you make a good point Hardy." I agreed. "We all need to get into our swimsuits."

"Agreed." Harry added. "Now we just need to decide who goes to change first?"

"Um, isn't it always ladies first?" Ned pointed out.

"Such a gentleman you are Ned." Felicia said "But in this case I don't have any issue with you boys going first."

"Me neither." Liz spoke.

"Same with me." Gwen added.

The girls all scarily in sync.

"Really? Thanks girls." Ned said. Completely oblivious to what just happened.

Or he's choosing to ignore it.

Either way, he's a good man.

"Well if that's how you all feel then we'll go and get ready." Harry said.

Once he did all three of us headed for then changing rooms.

Then in no time at all we were on our way back. Ned wearing brown swim trunks, Harry sporting green trunks, while I wore a pair of black and red trunks. Along with a pair of sunglasses over my eyes.

Arriving back at our spot I began flexing a bit. "Ladies. Sorry we kept you waiting."

"Yeah, we just wanted to make sure everything was perfect." Harry added, also flexing.

"So, what do you think?" Ned asked. Also joining in on the flexing.

"Eh, you three clean up alright." Felicia said, not even looking at us and focusing more on one of her finger nails.

"I'll say." Liz added. "Also Peter, when did you start working out?"

"Yeah,I'm curious about that myself." Harry added. Turning his gaze to my abs.

"Yeah Peter, when did you start looking like a Jojo character?" Ned asked.

"Well to answer your collective question I started gaining this awesome body around the same time I got tired of taking Flashes crap. Decided to put on a bit of muscle in case he decided not to get the message with words." I explained. Giving them all the lie I had constructed ages ago when someone asked me about my new physique.

"Always thinking ahead aren't you?" Harry asked me.

"Yes, I am." I replied.

Harry not having any idea truly how far. But he will.

Soon.

Very soon.

"Okay well while you boys continue chatting we girls are going to go and freshen up ourselves." Felicia spoke.

She then began walking off, Liz, and Gwen following behind her. Each of them with a slight skip on their steps.

Leading me to get a shiver across my entire body.

But putting that aside for now I took out a beach ball from my bag and began blowing it up.

Finishing just as the girls returned.

Spotting them out of the corner of my eye I turned my head on their direction.

Just like Harry, Ned, and so many others had done. All of them with their mouths hanging open.

Me joining their ranks when I got a good look at the girls.

Liz is sporting a gold-colored bikini.

Gwen is wearing a frily blue bikini that excentuates her charms.

Then there is Felicia...

The Black bikini she's wearing right now makes her look hot, in all caps.

And she damn well knew it, given her confident stride and smirk on her face.

When all three girls came to a stop in front of us Felicia turned her gaze to me.

"So, what do you think of my outfit now, Parker?" She asked.

"I think Harry, Ned, and I are damn lucky to be at the beach with Charlie's Angels." I replied.

Because although my mind was hazy, and it was taking all my willpower not to have my other head stand at attention, I still won't present as a mornic simp.

Especially with my girlfriend standing right there.

Since Spider-Man ain't no fool.

"You can say that again." Ned added.

"You really can Pete." Harry spoke. Having not taken his eyes off Liz since he spotted her.

The same for me in regards to Gwen, after I answered Felicia question.

"Ah, you say the sweetest things Peter." Gwen said, stepping closer and wrapping my arm between her cleavage.

Putting me in a different kind of danger than I normally am while in fighting crime.

A danger I like.

"Thank you." I said. "Now then, since we're all dressed, let the beach day officially commence." I said.

I then grabbed Gwen, dropped the beach ball on the blanket, and ran towards the water.

Entering it without hesitation the moment I reached it.

Thankful for its cooling embrace.

Not only due to the summer heat, but also in regards to my little spider.

Because unlike the Shield Hero it most certainly had no business rising at the moment.

Since that would've been bad in so many regards.

But that crisis has been averted.

Breathing a sigh of relief of this I suddenly found myself drenched, due to Gwen splashing water on me.

Turning around I brought my hands up. "You realize, this means war." I said.

"Then bring it on." Gwen challenged.

One I accepted.

So with that I splashed her.

Leading to the start of our water war.
