The ride back to New York was eerily silent.
Even I didn't make any jokes or comments.
Instead all I could do was think about my encounter with Omega Red and how horribly it could've gone if I was even the slightest bit off.
Clicking and unclenching my fists I inhaled and exhaled, working to make sure I stayed calm.
For what's done is done.
We faced Omega Red, and I got myself, Quartermain, and the SHIELD agents under his command off the Shum alive.
Even so that battle just now showed me just how far I still have to go in regards to superheroics.
Good thing I finally got those materials from Fury.
Because when I get back it'll be time for some major upgrades.

The Quinjet landing, similarly to when we were on the ship I was the first one off.
Quartermain and his agents following right behind him.
"Spider-Man." Quartermain spoke.
Leading me to look at him.
Then as soon as he did he stood at attention and saluted me. His fellow agents immediately following his lead and doing the same.
"On behalf of all of us I would like to say thank you for your assistance on this mission. You saved our lives, and that is certainly not something that will be forgotten anytime soon. By any of us."
"Understood." I replied. Feeling truly touched by Quartermain and his agents attitudes.
Hoping with all my might none of them were dirty HYDRA plants that would fall in the future when I go full scorched earth on those tentacle freaks.
Well, I guess only time will tell.
Moving on.
Giving my best return salute to Quartermain and the other SHIELD agents from the mission I then left the SHIELD base and once I was far enough away began searching myself for any sort of bugs or electronic devices.
Finding none I re-established my suits connection with Spinner, and by extension the Web, having cut it before I went on the mission since I didn't want to risk anyone talking it. Given I was partially in the lions dens.
Which is the reason I won't be accepting too many more missions like that from SHIELD in the future.
At least until I clean house.
After the connections were back I headed straight for the Web.
Where I found not only Felicia, but also Gwen, upon my arrival.
When I did both turned to look at me.
"Welcome back Peter."
Though it was Spinner who welcomed me back first.
"Well, that was a quick mission." Felicia mused.
"How did it go?" Gwen asked me.
"If me a minute and I'll tell you both all about it." I explained.
I then went to change into my civilian clothes, ignoring the bruises I saw on my left side, from where Omega Red has slammed into the shop during our battle a while ago, as I did.
Then once I was fully dressed I headed back into the main area of the Web and took a seat on the couch.
Gwen and Felicia taking up seats on either side of me.
"Well now, a guy could used to this." I said, smirking.
Only for Gwen to hit me in my bruised side.
"Ah!"
Leading me to wince.
"Okay, bad time for a joke. I got it." I said.
"Good." Gwen replied, a smile on her face. "Now then, what happened?" She asked.
"Oh nothing much. Just went to investigate a cargo ship and came across a Russian who definitely loves watching tentacle hentai videos." I said.
"What?" Felicia questioned. "You're joking right?"
"I'm not." I replied.
I the gave the girls, and Spinner, a brief rundown of my battle with Omega Red aboard the Shum.
"You are lucky to be alive Peter." Spinner said once I finished my story. "For not many survive a battle with this Omega Red." He said.
Spinner then pulled a file SHIELD had on the bastard and began displaying several all of contained on one of the nearby monitors.
Including what they had on Arkady's powers, his affiliation, his favorite food, to his favorite sexual position, and so much more.
"Wow, SHIELD is thorough." Felicia said, while reading the information.
"Well they are in intelligence agency." I reminded her.
"I get, but still, did they have to note this Arkady's favorite sexual position and all of his fetishes?" She questioned.
"Well it's like they say the more you know..." I mused.
"Okay, and I think that's enough of this." Gwen said. "Spinner, if you please."
"Of course Gwen." He replied.
Spinner then took all of the information SHIELD had regarding Omega Red off the nearby monitor.
Once he did I then stood up and headed over to the box containing the items I had requested from Fury.
Which not only included a medium-sized chunk of Adamantium, but also a small chunk of Vibranium.
Both invaluable to me at the moment, until I can get my hands on a steady supply of both. Though for now these small samples will do.
Yes, they will do nicely.
"Peter, what are you doing?" Gwen asked me.
"Just getting ready to implore some major upgrades." I responded. "For if that brief battle with Omega Red taught me anything it's that there are threats still out there we are woefully unprepared to face. But with what I now have in my possession we'll be one step closer to being prepared for them."
Thanos, Doctor Doom, Galactus, I'm looking at you all.
"Hey I'm all for work and seeing what new and crazy thing you come up with next is definitely going to be a treat Parker, but maybe you should take it easy for a while." Felicia suggested. "I mean you did just get tossed around my cyborg mutant. And wow, that is definitely not something I'd ever thought I would hear myself say."
"Well get used to it Hardy, since in the superhero game that will become just another norm." I replied. Moving the Adamantium and Vibranium over to my work bench. Along with the other items in the box. "Now then are you two ladies going to stay or go? Because once I start working I would like it if I didn't have any interruptions until I was done." I explained.
Especially given the properties of both Adamantium and Vibranium and what I'll attempt to be doing with them.
"Well if your trying to build something new then I'll leave you in piece." Felicia replied.
She then took her leave of the Web.
"I will as well." Gwen decided. "But first, Spinner if you find my idiot boyfriend pushing himself too far then you are to immediately contact me and Felicia and we'll come and drop him by force."
"Ah, so great to know you care babe." I spoke. Moving closer to Gwen and gently rubbing our cheeks together.
"Yeah, yeah, Parker, you sweet talker you." Gwen replied. "But I was serious when I spoke just now."
"I know. Which makes me love you even more." I replied.
"Right." Gwen replied, breaking our hug. "Now then, don't blow yourself up." She instructed.
Before taking her leave as well.
Once she did I got on my protective gear and pointed to Spinner's hard drives. "Hit the music!" I declared.
Then a minute after I did he began playing 'Carry on Wayard Son' by Kansas.
Spinner having become musically cultured in such a short time.
Wiping fake tears of joy from my eyes so then got to work.

Stifling a yawn, and ignoring the tiredness I felt, I stood proudly in the Web.
Because after four straight days of almost non-stop work I had completed the latest round of upgrades.
Now there was only one thing left to do.
Show them off of course.
A task I began the moment Felicia and Gwen arrived in the Web.
At my request no less.
"Hey Peter-woah! What's with the blood shot eyes?!" Felicia asked me.
Since my eyes are indeed bloodshot.
"Spinner, I told you to call us if Peter took things too far." Gwen said.
"And I was going to, but he didn't." Spinner replied. "Peter walked right up to the edge but he didn't cross the line."
"It's true. But given I'm a master at edging it was easy for me." I said.
"Gross." Gwen said.
"Alright, so what are you going to show us today?" Felicia asked.
Giving me a grin at my dirty joke just now.
"I'm so glad you asked miss Hardy." I said. "First up, your own suit." I said, stepping up to it. "It is now equipped with Vibranium claws."
"Ah Peter, you sure do get a girl the best gifts."
"Well I try." I replied.
I then spun over to two display cases covered by tarps and pulled them, revealing two different spider suits in each one.
The first was the MCU Spider-Man Suit Tony developed for Peter in the films, featuring the iconic red and blue color scheme.

Since I figured even if I'm not going to wear it that much I should at least have a suit like this in my arsenal.
It also comes with all the same bells and whistles as the suit did from the films. Minus the Karen AI Tony installed.
The second suit was my red and black, only upgraded.
With what you ask?
Why the suits iconic robotic spider arms! Which I created based off the designs of Doctor Octavious robotics arms, and I even took it a step further by incorporating the Adamantium I got into the arms. So now they are basically indestructible.
I also changed the suit asthetically a bit.

In addition to adding Vibranium talons to the hand and feet area of the suit.
Sure doing all this cost me all my Adamantium and Vibranium, but it was definitely worth it.
Explaining my two new spider-suits to Felicia and Gwen I enjoyed seeing their shocked expressions.
"Thank you for the appreciation of my genius ladies, but we're not done yet." I spoke.
I then moon walked over to a work table where a rack of vials filled with light green liquid sat.
Gwen's eyes immediately looking like they were about to jump out of her skull when I did.
"Peter is that..."
"It is." I replied. Lifting up one of the vials. "The perfected G-Serum." I revealed.
"You finished it..." Gwen tailed off.
I nodded my head in confirmation. "I did. With a bit of help from Spinner of course." I said.
"It's true." Spinner spoke. "And do not worry Gwendolyn, for Peter and I took all the necessary precautions and ran numerous simulations and tests. All of which gave the same result. The serum is safe and viable."
"This is..."
"Incredible. Yes, I know." I replied.
"Okay, someone want to clue me in on what's going on here?" Felicia asked.
"Long story short Gwen, Spinner, and I have done what hardly anyone in the past near century has been able to do. We recreated the Super Soldier Serum." I explained.
"Wait, you mean the thing that made Captain America?" Felicia asked.
"Yes." I replied. I then picked up an injector gun on the table and loaded the vial in my hand into it.
"Now then, who wants to get the super soldier serum first?"
