Chapter 113 - Chapter 113 Back to Alexandria

The snow didn't stop falling until a couple days later. When the snow had finally cleared froom the sky John walked over to Rick house and knocked on the door. Rick came to the door a couple minutes later; John could see Carl glaring at him from the living room.

Rick asked, "What's up?"

John said, "You ready to go to Alexandria?"

Rick said, "Yeah, the weather finally cleared up. So, we can go anytime."

John asked, "Who is coming with us?"

Rick said, "Well, I want to bring Michonne and Carl. Also, maybe Daryl, Travis, Glen, Merle, and Kenny."

John nodded and said, "Okay, I am bringing along my family as well. I want to show them around Alexandria."

Rick said, "Alright, I will go and gather everyone, and then we will meet at the helicopter." John nodded as he began to walk back to his house. A minute later John walked into his house and saw that his whole family was ready to go.

John said, "Alright, in about 30 minutes, we will go to the helicopter and leave for Alexandria. So please remember anything you want to bring as we will most likely stay in Alexandria for a couple days to a couple weeks." The women nodded as they began to look around their bags and make sure they had everything they needed.

When they finished checking they still had plenty of time before they would leave, so they sat down on the couch and began to watch an episode of Dora. When the episode finished, they all stood up and walked over to the front door. They put on coats and their boots before they walked out the front door while dragging their baggage behind them. They only packed about 3 suitcases as they would share their clothes, plus they could wear Jess, Demmy, or Enid's clothes that were already at John's house in Alexandria.

They walked for about 8 minutes before they arrived at the helicopter. John saw that they had arrived before Rick and the others, so he had his family walk up the ramp behind the helicopter and sit down on the benches. John walked into the cockpit and sat down before he powered in the helicopter to turn the heat on.

After about ten minutes, Rick and his group came walking in through the back ramp. Rick was a little surprised to see that John and his family had beat them. As soon as they got into the helicopter, John flipped a switch to close the back ramp.

Carl walked over and sat down in the copilot seat next to John. John looked back into the cargo bay and saw that everyone was seated on the benches and all the luggage had been secured. John talked into the microphone. John said, "Hello everyone, this is your Captain speaking. We have some first-time fliers let's give them a hand." Everyone began to clap as they looked at Sarah, Cassy, Joey, and Charlie.

John said, "Alright, everyone. Hold onto something, because we are lifting off." John the proceeded to flick many switches and turn some knobs. When he finished, the blades had begun to move, growing faster by the second. John then pulled back on the lever some and they began to lift up slowly.

John used him Map to locate Alexandria before he began to fly there at breakneck speed. Even though they were flying at 180 miles per hour it still took them almost 5 hours to get there. When they arrived, John began to land the helicopter inside the walls of Alexandria slowly. John had always thought that taking off was easier than landing.

John managed to land smoothly in a grassy field. John could see as he was landing that many people had come running over to the helicopter before they began pointing rifles and other such weapons at it. It seems all the training John had given them was not a waste of time after all.

John flipped some switches, causing the rotors to stop spinning. Then John flipped a switch, opening the cargo bay. John walked out of the cockpit and through the cargo bay before he walked out. Looking at all the people pointing guns at him, John said loudly, "Is that any way to greet your favorite teacher?"

The people pointing weapons at John immediately lowered them as Deanna said, "John, is that you?"

John nodded and said, "Yep."

Reg asked, "How did you get that helicopter?"

John said, "That's a long story. I may have been slightly dishonest when I said I was alone in the world." As if on cue, John's family walked out of the helicopter along with Rick and the others. Rick walked forward and looked at the short old woman.

John walked over to his family and began to lead them to his house here. Meanwhile, Rick and his group stayed behind and discussed with Deanna. Rick said, "I am seeking to join with you and form an alliance."

Deanna thought for a while thinking over whether it was a good idea or not. But she suddenly thought of all the things John had done to help them and thought that if John brought Rick here this must be important. The most important factor was that she wanted to rebuild society and the only way to do that was to have many people join together.

Deanna said, "Let's discuss terms." Hearing this Rick nodded and began to follow the old woman. Rick completely forgot about the group that was following and they were just standing there. Reg who saw them standing around looking like lost children, walked towards them.

Reg said, "Hi, I'm Reg. Why don't you follow me, and I will show you around?" The group looked among themselves.

Michonne stepped forward and said, "That would be nice." The rest of the group nodded as well, so Reg started to walk around and show them around. John was doing the same thing with his family, showing them all the cool places within the walls.

John walked past old man Jenkins's house and thought about him. John walked up the steps and knocked on the door. Soon old man Jenkins came to the door and looked out. He saw John standing there and said, "Oh, Sonny. How are you?"

John said, "I'm good, old man. How are you?"

Jenkins said, "I'm fit as a whistle." He did his famous bicep flex which actually made it smaller.

John laughed as he looked at the eccentric old man. John said, "That's good. Anyway, I came over to introduce you to my family."

The old man looked around and said, "What family?"

John said, "Put on your glasses, old man."

The old man puit on his big, rimmed glasses and then looked around once again. The old man saw the 9 women and 4 kids. The old man said, "I see you have been busy."

John said, "Well, I try."

The old man was pushed aside suddenly, an old women stood in front of John and pinched his cheek before saying, "Your too thin, I feed you every time I see you and you never gain weight. I wish the old man was more like you."

The old man said, "Shut your trap, women. I need extra cushion for my bad back."

The old woman said, "If your stomach was a little smaller, your back wouldn't hurt as much."

The old man said, "What would you know, woman?"

The old woman said, I know that if you don't change that attitude, you will be sleeping on the couch." The old man immediately shut his mouth and stood obediently behind the old woman.

The old woman said, "Sorry you had to see that. Come in, I made cookies earlier."

John stepped inside as he said, "Don't mind if I do." John's family walked inside too, taking off their shoes at the front door. The old lady led them into the living room and sat them down before she ran off and got the cookies. The old man was sat in his chair with a pouting expression on his face. It was a really weird look considering the old man was close to 80 years old.

The old woman came out of the kitchen with a big tray of cookies. She set the tray on the table before she grabbed one and gave it to the old man. The old man cheered up some, remembering why he loved this old lady. Sarah had jumped out of Carly's arm towards the cookies. She grabbed one of the cookies that was as big as John's fist.

She took a big bite and the soft and gooey cookie melted in her mouth. Sarah did a cute little dance as she continued eating. The old lady patted her head gently, she said, "How are they?"

Sarah swallowed the food in her mouth before she said, "Very good, Grandma." The old woman smiled as she continued to talk with Sarah. However, her eyes were taken by little Joey who was sliding down off of Maggie's lap. He walked over slowly, he was still a little unsteady, but he managed to arrive in front of the tray of cookies. Joey grabbed a cookie before he was picked up from the floor.

The old women held Joey as she observed him. The old woman said, "He looks just like you John. Like a perfect little clone, but his nose is a little different from yours. The old women looked around and stopped at Maggie. She said, "This is your boy with John." Maggie nodded.

The old woman said, "He is so cute. He will definitely be a charmer, much like his old man." Maggie laughed as she covered her mouth and nodded.

The old women looked at Cassy and said, "Oh and this must be your daughter, she is so cute. She is like a mini you." She said this to Amy.

Amy said, "Thank you." The old woman set Joey on the old mans lap before she walked over to Cassy and picked her up. Cassy gave her a big, bright smile. This caused the old woman to pinch her chubby little cheeks.

As everyone was distracted talking and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, the old man was scheming as he looked at Joey. The old man took the cookie from Joey's hand and was about to take a bite. An angry Joey pulled the old man's nose and snatched his cookie back. Joey then continued to eat his cookie as the old man sulked. This didn't last much longer as Joey broke off a piece of the cookie and gave it to the old man. Joey said, "Share?"

The old man started to tear up as he took the cookie and patted Joey little head. The old man said, "That's a good, Grand Sonny." Joey smiled before he moved off the old man's lap and walked over to John. John picked him up and held him.

The old man looked at this and remembered when his boys were growing up. A couple hours later John and his family left the house after saying goodbye. Then John led them to his house, and they began to clean up the dust that had gathered while they were away. While they were doing this, the kids were watching a movie.

After they finished cleaning up the house John and Demmy walked into the kitchen together as everyone else sat down on the sofa. John and Demmy looked around the pantry and fridge and found some things to make a wonderful dinner for them all. John made some spaghetti and garlic bread while Demmy made a casserole with potatoes, carrot, peas, onion and some can chicken. John and Demmy worked together to make a delicious desert, three wonderful chocolate pudding pies.

When everything was done, John and Demmy moved everything to the dining room before they walked into the living room and told everyone that dinner was ready. They paused the movie before they got up and walked into the dining room to eat.

They were very surprised when they saw the small feast. They began to eat slowly as they chatted about all the things they had seen today. John fed Cassy as he looked around at his big, happy family. John sighed happily as he continued to feed himself and Cassy. When they all finished eating, they walked back into the kitchen and sat down to finish the movie.

When the movie ended the kids had already fallen asleep, so they all made their way up stairs to the bedrooms. They had to sleep in two bedrooms as just one was not big enough for all of them. John lay down with the kids, Enid and Alicia. The rest of the women were going to sleep in the other room.

John thought, 'I need to move another bed into one of the rooms so I can sleep with everyone.' Then John closed his eyes as he held Alicia and Enid. Cassy and Joey were sleeping on John's chest as when they fell asleep, John was holding them. John left them on his chest as he didn't want to wake them. Sarah and Charlie sleeping peacefully next to Alicia.
