:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Sorry for the delay over the last few days, guys.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Jack kicked open the massive iron gate with a thunderous clang. His clothes were torn, his hair hung in tangled clumps, and countless wounds—large and small—covered his entire body like a cruel map of battle.
He stood there for a moment, chest rising and falling, a faint grin curling at the corner of his mouth.
"Alice… she really can't be underestimated," Jack said, his voice half-laughing, half-pained. "That woman hits hard. Every bone in me feels like glass right now."
L.J. swallowed hard, eyes darting over Jack's body. "Man, look at you. Didn't think you'd walk away from that one."
From Jack's injuries, faint red Transformium particles began to shimmer. They floated out, glowing like embers, then spun back into his wounds. Within seconds, the torn flesh closed, the bruises faded, and the skin returned to flawless perfection.
Carlos froze. His knuckles whitened as he clenched his fists. "How… how is that even possible?"
Jill stared, her expression caught between awe and suspicion. "Wu Yang—what are you? What kind of monster heals like that?"
Jack laughed softly. "Monster? Jill, that hurts my feelings. I'm human. Just… not bound by what humans usually can do."
He brushed the dust from his jacket and began walking toward the waiting helicopter.
Jill's brows knitted. "You could've killed us easily back there—but you didn't. Why? What are you really planning?"
Jack rolled his shoulders, stretching lazily. "You're sharp as always, Jill. Honestly, I just needed to loosen up a bit."
Jill blinked. "Loosen up? You call all that slaughter loosening up?"
Jack shrugged, still smiling. "Come on, don't shout. Who knows when we'll meet again? Might as well part on a memorable note."
Teri stepped forward, her tone anxious. "Where are you going?"
Jack tilted his head back and gazed at the smoky sky. "Somewhere far away," he said, his voice tinged with false nonchalance. "A place where even nightmares take a break."
"Where exactly?" she pressed.
He didn't answer. His eyes shifted toward Dr. Ashford, standing pale and uncertain near the wrecked compound.
"You can all leave," Jack said quietly. "But he stays."
Angela immediately moved to shield her father. "What do you want with my dad?"
Jack's grin softened. "Relax, kid. I just need the good doctor's help. Remember when I took a bullet for him? Time to settle that little debt."
Ashford's voice trembled. "What do you want me to do?"
"Oh, you'll know soon enough," Jack replied, tone casual but eyes gleaming with intent.
Angela's voice broke with anger. "Forget it! I won't let you take him!"
Jack chuckled and waved dismissively. "Adults are talking, sweetheart."
"I'm not a child!" she yelled, fists balled, eyes glistening.
Jack turned to L.J. "Hey, man—if you don't wanna die, keep the brat quiet for a minute."
L.J. stiffened. "Y-yeah, sure thing, boss. Don't kill me, alright?" He hurried forward and grabbed Angela before she could lunge again.
"Let me go! Dad! Let me go!" Angela screamed, thrashing wildly, her small fists hitting L.J.'s arms.
Jack exhaled softly and looked at Jill. "You all should leave. I'm not the type to shoot people in the back."
"Wu Yang," Teri said, standing her ground, "I'm not leaving until you tell me why."
"Teri," Jack said gently, "go with them."
"I won't."
His eyes softened; his voice dropped to something almost human. "We'll meet again. Next time… I won't be standing where I am now. Trust me."
Teri hesitated, emotions flickering across her face. "Fine," she said at last. "I believe you."
She climbed aboard the helicopter with slow, reluctant steps.
"Start the engine," Jill ordered, glancing once more at Jack before turning away.
The helicopter's blades began to spin, stirring up dust and debris. As it lifted off, Angela's voice echoed through the air, desperate and fading: "Dad! Dad!"
Jack watched the craft rise, a faint smile playing on his lips. "Don't miss me," he murmured. "We'll see each other again soon."
Jill's voice, carried faintly by the wind, shouted back, "Don't count on it, freak!"

Aboard the Helicopter
Inside, the cabin shook with turbulence. L.J. slumped into a seat, still trembling.
"What the hell's that guy thinking?" he muttered. "He doesn't kill us, just lets us go?"
"Only that psycho knows," Jill said quietly, lighting a cigarette with a practiced flick. Smoke curled up into the dim air.
Teri frowned, staring out the window. "If Jack's still down there when the bomb hits…"
"Don't overthink it," Jill interrupted. "That bastard's no fool. He's hiding something deep—something even the Umbrella freaks didn't see coming."
She opened her cigarette case, sighed when she found it empty. "Damn. He still owes me ten packs."

On the Ground
"Doctor," Jack said, his tone almost polite, "we should get moving."
Ashford looked at him warily. "What are you really planning?"
Jack smiled faintly. "It's simple. Whatever you can imagine, I can make you realize. That's power."
He reached out, gripping Ashford's collar, and lifted him effortlessly off the ground. The older man gasped as his feet left the dirt.
"Look," Jack said, nodding toward the horizon. "Dawn's coming."
The first thin beam of sunlight crept over the ruins of Raccoon City, painting the world in a bleak gold. The silence carried a heavy warning—the calm before annihilation.
Ashford's voice trembled. "How do you plan to escape? The nuclear strike is already inbound!"
He was right. In the distance, a faint whistle grew louder—a streak of light slicing through the sky. The missile's tail burned like a star falling to earth.
It was the end of Raccoon City.
But for the T-Virus, it was only the beginning.
Jack's lips curved. "Watch carefully."
Seven crimson Transformium cores ignited across his body, spinning faster and faster. The particles formed a sphere of light that surrounded both Jack and Ashford.
The air vibrated. The ground cracked. Energy rippled outward, humming like a thousand wasps.
Then, with a sharp flash—
they launched upward, vanishing into the sky.
---
The Detonation
BOOM!
The nuclear bomb detonated a hundred meters above Raccoon City.
A blinding white light devoured the landscape, turning night into blinding day.
A heartbeat later, the world screamed.
Hōng hōng hōng—!
Shockwaves tore through the ruins. Buildings folded like paper. The earth itself shuddered. Firestorms raced through the streets, sweeping cars and bodies into the inferno.
A colossal mushroom cloud rose into the heavens, black and red, swallowing everything in its path.
At the city's edge, the escaping helicopter was caught in the aftershock. The airframe groaned, alarms shrieked, and the craft spun violently.
"We're losing control!" L.J. shouted, gripping the seat.
"Hold on!" Jill yelled, trying to steady the stick, but the machine was too damaged. The engines roared one last time before giving out completely.
The helicopter tumbled from the sky, trailing smoke and fire, crashing deep into the forest beyond the city.

Aftermath
From a distant mountain peak, Jack stood watching.
Beside him, Dr. Ashford shivered, his eyes reflecting the hellish light on the horizon.
The explosion bloomed like a crimson sun. The shockwave rolled across the landscape, flattening trees even miles away. Dust and fire rose into the stratosphere, the echo of humanity's hubris.
Jack's eyes gleamed with cold satisfaction. "Magnificent," he said softly. "Such a massive explosion… true art."
He glanced at Ashford, whose face was pale in the glow. "Wouldn't you agree, Doctor?"
Ashford said nothing. He could only stare at the inferno consuming everything he'd ever known.
Jack smiled again, calm and unreadable, the wind carrying his final words into the burning dawn.
"Art… and a new beginning."
