The Emperor assumed that the Great Prophecy ment that the second born lady among the Royal Duchy's will bring ruin to the empire.This was a great threat to the throne .So to prevent the prophecy the Emperor ordered the Royal Duchy's to sacrifice the second born child if it was a girl.
The Great Prophecy was kept a secret from the public and like that thirteen generations passed.Every generation one child was sacrificed by the royal duchies
I came to know about this Great Prophecy in my fourteenth life.And as you have guessed I am the cursed girl from the Great Prophecy who has to be sacrificed in this generation.
My family, the Pride, were planning for treason and with me being born, me being the cursed child from the prophecy who was said to bring nothing but ruin,was a great advantage for my father, Duke Pride.
He only ever saw me as a tool for his use in my every life and as for my mother,I don't have much memories of her since she died giving birth to my little sister two years later.
