"I'll go run you a cold bath and grab some ice," Natalie Jennings said as she nimbly rolled out of bed, "Wait here for me, okay!"
Hayden Sheffield half reclined against the headboard, pressing his temples hard.
Natalie moved quickly, soon filling the tub with cold water and dumping in a whole bucket of ice.
"You want me to take a cold bath?" he retorted. "Wouldn't it be better to just use yourself as the antidote?"
"Someone as distinguished as you, I don't deserve that honor."
Hayden let out a cold snort.
Natalie rolled her eyes: "If you don't want to, I'll go find you another woman, hmm? What do you like? Innocent? Sexy? Or..."
"Shut up!"
She obediently stepped aside, making a "please" gesture.
"Natalie Jennings, you can't escape," Hayden lifted her chin. "Someday, you'll belong to me—body and soul."
