Tears flowed out of the bald middle-aged man's eyes. He started kowtowing while repeating again and again, "We were wrong. I was wrong, so terribly wrong. I now know that killing her was the worst decision of our lives. Please, forgive me. Forgive me."
Alex barely reacted. He closed his eyes. When he reopened them, the killing intent within was so intense that even space seemed to warp.
"You all deserved far worse," Alex said quietly, and the darkness around him enveloped the bald man. When the darkness disappeared, the bald man was nowhere to be seen. Even his body was not left behind.
While all of this was happening, Fritz did not even dare to breathe loudly. He was afraid that even the sound of his breath might disturb Alex.
Alex had changed a lot. This change happened mainly after he was affected by Loren's Curse, or more accurately, after the curse was fully activated.
