This turn of events angered the god of illusion. He roared at the virtual body, "Are you stupid? Or are you a masochist? Don't you know that you stand no chance against me, or do you want to be defeated so badly?"
What made him truly angry was that the god of telepathy was fighting him for nothing. The only outcome of this fight will be that he will be weakened and become vulnerable to attacks from other gods.
If the two of them were alone, he wouldn't mind defeating the god of telepathy for as long as it takes to drive the point home to the god of telepathy that he, the god of illusion, is just too powerful.
But they are obviously not alone. He, in particular, is surrounded by many gods that would love to take advantage of the situation.
