Or simply live a paradisiac life at night with a perfect lover and everything.
The moon has a side bathed by light and another in the shadow.
The advantages are numerous but the dangers aren't less.
You can lose your way and be forever trapped, leaving your body to slowly die from dehydration.
An entity can lure you for many reasons.
Reasons that won't be appreciated by you reader but to each their own i guess maybe you will like it.

There is what we name "levels of practices".
The first one the lucid dream is the easiest one.
Then you learn to control it.
Following this you create your own dream and then ultimately you build your dreamworld( the shield that will help your mental force).
After the dream world the next level you will be shared/invasion of dreams.
It is here that you will Really travel.( i am not saying that there is no danger until here but...no i won't say more i am lazy like that).
Generally you will target a person and invade their "world" in their sleep and dream their dream. Or maybe for the proficient one will succeed at first try and make them drift off in the dream fabricated in advance.
It is a powerful tool. it can influence someone in daytime following what they felt at night.
Nearly at the same level you have the collective dream. basically the same but with more than one target at the same time. The more people there is the harder the control is, quite logical no?).

You trap your target in a world you created. unabling you to travel in their body.
For this you need to perfection the invasion dream, and be able to walk in the world with only your soul. The problem is that if you stay in a soul state for too long you can't come back in your body.
And time in a soul state is an abstract thing, hard to catch because it doesn't exist. it is a material that can't touch you in this form.
