I asked Søren not to place the chips since it could blow in our faces. If they find out our ships have a remote off button we will be vulnerable. He agreed and the idea was scrapped. I sat down for violin lessons. I managed to not enrage my teacher. He was very patient as I played a tune. Once he left I walked into the gym and them doing an unusual fight practice. Roland jumped off a pillar and landed perfectly. It took me a minute to realize they were acting according to the story I had made a kid. They were grinning as I walked in. I mumbled, "You don't have to do that." Oleg chuckled, "The grace of a matador. It was all Roland heard. He had to tap into his Spanish roots." He struck a pose, "Olé" he had his hair braided like a Spanish aristocrat. He grinned, "So ready to see what the town can do to us." I nod my head as we head out.
Electra waved at us we left for a stroll. News reached us that a bounty hunter had come to collect me. Which is why I was sent here. The creep came wearing night vision and all the works. He walked in and he raised the thermal binoculars. It malfunctioned. He smacked it several times but it didn't do anything good. The things started to smoke. I chuckled, "Now you know why everyone is almost in steampunk style." I felt the smiles of the residents. Some went indoors and locked their doors. The others stepped out with bows and arrows and swords. He forced himself to take each step. He didn't take off his suit. He kept coming. I guess the bounty was that huge. The he used a flamethrower but it worked for a second and then it broke too. He threw away his gear and walked forward. I stayed on the swing. He took a few steps and his gun was snatched. He turnes around and Bane charged forward. He and Howler had his suit off. Then Angie used fencing to beat him.
I watched ad Roland came forward. He spun like a top and lunged forward. He headbutted him in the belly. The guy fell backwards. I watched as they both got up and resume fighting. Roland did a spin kick. A knee kick and a few jabs. Oleg had enough and picked him. He smashed his spine on his knee. The guy screamed in pain as he lost the ability to move. We went home. Oleg summoned the locals who chose to hide. He expressed his displeasure and came home. Then we had to figure out who put the bounty. He was human so I bit him. I saw the one in question was the prince of Malachi. He is Hazel's grandson. We all severed with the planet Malachi. We made friends with the Baron Aragón and his allies. One of them was the guy who tried to stab me. They apologized when they realized the Kaiser was the reason we couldn't help. We asked them not assassinate him since it would just make things worse.
Aragón had the bounty removed. I was allowed to move. We were invited to go to his world. The system was named Alborada. In Spanish means the first light of dawn. We reached the habited planet Altanería. The capital Machiavelli was waiting. First one to come out was Julian with Bear. Søren, his wife and Cain came next. I walked out with Oleg next to me. We saw people were eagerly waiting to greet us. They stared to wave our flag as we walked out. We saw a tall lean man waiting for us. He was wearing a mask like the ones I used wear. He looked at us. He shook hands with Søren. We left for the palace Soberbia. Everyone was very pleased to see us. He was bored as he spoke to Søren. He saw me and he kept staring. I took Oleg's hand and kissed his knuckles. He was watching me and he wasn't happy. We arrived at the palace. We went upstairs and I chose not to go to the feast. Oleg agreed since we were here on vacation.
We heard a knock on the door. Aragón was on the other side. He asked us why we weren't at the feast. I explained shyly, "We are tired so I thought it was best if we rest." He asked me nicely, "Is your boyfriend ok?" I blushed, "He is my husband. We are going to rest." He nod politely and walked away. I saw a rose. I asked him nicely, "Have a great day. I will see you tomorrow." He turned around and bowed before he walked away. I went to sleep. The next morning we came for breakfast and Aragón stared at me. His grip on his fork tightened. His breath shallowed as he forced himself to breath. I wasn't in disguise I came as me. I happily ate a bit of everything and I went for a walk. He came and asked me if I enjoyed my stay. He took me on a tour of the gardens. His eyes never left me. I was feeling self conscious. I tucked my hair behind my ears and kept walking.
I smelled Oleg. I turned around and gave him a hug. I heard a growl but chose to ignore it. His breath became ragged. He walked over and asked if we could have some privacy. He calmly told the Baron, "Excuse me but our Emperor was hoping to speak to you." Oleg took me away. He was very patient till we reached our room. He locked the door. He was fuming so badly I gave him a glass of water. He chugged it and started coughing. I pat him on the back and he told me to stay away from the Baron. He has fallen in love with me. He is trying to assess me. I laughed, "Don't be silly. He isn't in love. I have been a cop and I have fought crazy love. I have experienced them" Oleg asked me to activate DefCon five. Aragón was going to lock me in the tower. He has issues with people being close to me.
I asked Oleg if he was kidding. He tried to calm himself as he explained, "He looks at you the way I look at you. The only difference is you hug me and he can't. He is growling to unleash his frustrations. I used to do that when I watched you with Jasper." I stuffed my fingers in my ears. He chuckled, "I am touched that you care about my feelings" I tried to figure what I could do make things better. No matter what the answer seems to end in nuclear fallout. He was amused but I can tell he was fuming. I told him to lie down for a little bit. He laid down and stared at me. I was about say something when I heard a knock. A lovely lady in a medieval pale green dress with geometric lines on it. She had a rose on her hair. She gave me a polite bow and requested I join them for lunch. I wore a green dress a gold belt. My red hair was braided with daisies here and there. I wore perfume and I extended my hand. He wore a plain black and white suit.
We went downstairs and entered a grand hall. It was all stone but it was well cared for. The ceiling was dome shaped. There were four long tables where people were seated. In front was a raised stage where another table seated Aragón, his mother, Søren, his wife. He was bored. I guess Søren was boring him. Oleg and I sat with Cain and we happily ate. I liked the food. I actually requested seconds. The servers were eager to please. We ate and Oleg went with Cain. I walked up to talk to Søren. Aragón was playing with his food. I asked in a melodious tone if I could go explore the city. I felt a stare. He was watching me with like I was dessert. I blushed red as I bowed to show respect. Søren gave me permission and asked me to come back before sundown. I happily agreed as I skipped down the steps to go exploring. Miranda and I went hand in hand. The men at the gate leered at us as they opened the gates. We went out and I saw a drawbridge going.
An hour walking later we reached the town. First were cottages with simple farmers. Then came the market. People sold flowers, meat, clothes and all sorts of knickknacks. I saw a small whistle made from animal bone. I was told not buy it since it was a death whistle used in funerals. There were religious items. I loved the shoes. I would wear it and pose nonchalant with my foot sticking out just for laughs. Søren asked me not to. The others told him to mind his own business since he can't dictate my life. I bought the shoes and a red two piece dress. I asked them if I could get flowers. I got a set of carnations. I came back and changed to watch the festivities. I watched as the Baron, his buddies and Søren duel. Then came the bull fight. We watched as the Baron was almost skewered. I screamed in terror. A few ladies fainted. I had so many questions seeing their reactions.
I asked why would he do this. Boys will be boys. Then came the dancers they wore flaired dresses with red flowers decorating their hair. They danced in accordance to the tune. Their skirts would go up, down and sideways as they moved. The Baron was up on the podium with his golden hair braided. A metal mask covering his face. He wore a dark sapphire blue matador like dress with the top buttons undone. He stood still like he was waiting for someone. I heard Miranda joke that he is waiting for me. I heard a growl. Miranda told Oleg to calm down. He didn't like this so he walked away. I waited till the show was over and I came to see Søren. I saw the Baron was injured so I politely covered the wound with my sash. He started to breath raggedly. He stared as I covered the gash. Then I decided not to say anything to Søren. He was busy and I didn't want to interrupt him. I went to the garden. I felt a presence. The Baron was a few away.
He stared with curious eyes. I pointed at the bench. He sat down and he asked me why I was married to a bear. I started to laugh, "Oleg just needs a shave. He is a softie." He sat staring, "How did you get married?" I blushed, "I fell in love with him so I proposed. He refused at first but he came around. He says he sees himself in you. You stared as possessively as he does. I would like to be friends with you." He asked me how long we have been married. I shrugged, "Three hundred years give or take a decade." He sounded shocked. He spoke in native language for a full ten minutes and he asked me how old I was. I grinned, "I am a thousand years old." He asked me how I haven't aged a day. I shrugged my shoulders, "The first contracted after an illness. The rest was transmissited by bite. I got injected when I sick." He stared, "If you get injured?" I blinked, "I would have to consume blood and I will heal as though I wasn't injured to begin with. My bite won't changed anyone into what we are but it is very addicting."
