"We are here" Abhimanyu said looking at the main entrance gate of Minakshi's home.
"Thank you Sir, and good night" she said looking at him smiling.
"Goodnight," he said smiling back.
She stepped out of his car and started walking towards her home, when suddenly the lights of the main entrance and the main door were switched on.
Her mom came out worried, looking at her daughter.
Minakshi stopped at the gate looking at her mom coming. She looked at the time on her handwatch. It was very late today.
"Why are you so late today?" Her mother said a little angry but worried as well.
One could say looking at her face a sigh of relief.
"Aah,umm mom there was some stuff to be done so..sorry" she said with an apologetic look on her face.
Her mother shook her head in dismay and opened the gate for her asking her to get inside.
She saw Abhimanyu sitting in his car thinking, who this guy is.
Minakshi noticed this and said " He is my boss Mr. Abhimanyu"
Minakshi went to Abhimanyu and asked him if he wanted to come out to meet her mother.
Abhimanyu came out and gestured Minakshi to walk ahead.
"Sir this is my mom, and mom this is my boss Abhimanyu Sir." Minakshi introduced his boss.
"Namaste," he said folding both his hands.
"Namaste betaji," her mother responded with a similar gesture as him.
She asked him to come inside but he denied saying it is getting late.
" Okay, but please come dear some other day" she said to him in a soft tone.
"Yes ma'am" he said and left asking Minakshi to come early tomorrow.
He sat in his car and drove towards his home. Minakshi and her mother went back home locking the main entrance gate from inside.
"It is good your boss dropped you home. I was worried to death" her mom said with a relieved tone in her voice.
Minakshi sensed this and hugged her from behind.
"Why did you always get so worried mom?"
"Because I am a mother" she said patting her face with love.
"Now go change your clothes and come for dinner. It is already late" she said looking at the clock which shows the time 11 O'clock.
Minakshi went to her bedroom and changed clothes to a night suit.
She is wearing a pink top and pink pyjamas that have white stripes on them.
She washed her face and hands before looking in the mirror.
She suddenly remember what happened in the car while coming home. Somehow she was feeling better and happy.
"Minu" she heard her mom calling her.
"In a minute." Hurrying herself she wiped her hands and face and ran to the dining table.
"Don't know what took her so much time?" Her mom murmured to herself.
"What took you so long?" She asked Minakshi, who ignored her regular question.
Her mother shook her head and sat down in a chair for dinner. She also did not ate anything.
Abhimanyu reached home and saw his father walking in the garden.
He stopped looking at his son's car outside.
The watchman opened the gate. Abhimanyu parked his car near the garden and went to his father.
"You did not sleep dad?" He asked him.
"How could I, when you are not home." His father said a little worried.
Abhimanyu just scrubbed his head with his hand and looked at his father timidly.
They both then walked inside their home.
"Why are you so late today? It's almost midnight" he asked his son.
"Nothing dad, just some work" he replied back while sitting on the sofa.
"Have you had your dinner?" his father asked again sitting near him to which Abhimanyu denied.
His father asked one of the servants to serve dinner for Abhimanyu.
After eating Abhimanyu went straight to his room, took a shower, wore his satin black night suit and lay down on his bed.
He kept thinking about today's evening. After so many days he talked to Minakshi in a good way, like he used to talk. He smiled thinking about her and tried to sleep.
It's morning time and Abhimanyu is getting ready for the office. He is wearing his favourite white shirt with navy blue pant and suit. He took out his navy blue tie which has golden strips in it from the drawer and came out of his room wearing it.
"You are going ?" His father asked wearing his glasses.
"Yes, dad" he replied standing near the stairs ready to go downstairs.
"You usually get ready after having your breakfast. Are you going to eat today after you are ready?" His father asked again little surprised.
"No dad, I will eat something at office. I will see you in the evening" he said leaving his father standing their who is looking at his son leaving in a hurry.
"Is their something important?" His father asked himself.
At Minakshi's home her mother watched her awestruck because today her daughter is ready before time.
Minakshi is wearing her black plain shirt with blood red color knee length skirt. She is also wearing a blazer matching with the skirt. She wore her black sandal and has tied her hair in a loose bun and is about to leave when her mom stopped her.
"You are ready already?" Her mom looked at her daughter from head to toe.
"That also before time ?" She joked at her daughter who always get ready like running to catch a train which is about to leave the station.
Rolling her eyes at her mom Minakshi said "Yes mom, I am ready and going office".
"But breakfast?" Her mom asked
"I will eat something in the office cafetaria mom. Bye see you in the evening" Minakshi said almost running to catch a taxi.
As she was about to wave her hand to stop a taxi her mobile rang. She looked at the screen reflecting name Abhimanyu Sir.
She picked up and said "Hello Sir, good morning"
"Where are you now ?" Came a voice from the other side which was none other than Abhimanyu's
"I am outside my home's main road sir. I am leaving for the office." She said in a one breath.
Abhimanyu chuckled sensing she might be thinking if she is late.
"Stay there I am coming to pick you up." He replied putting full force in accelerator.
"What?" She asked surprised thinking if she misheard.
"In 10 minutes." Saying this he disconnected the phone.
She looked at her phone for a while and said to herself
"He is coming here ? Why ?"
Right in 10 minutes a black SUV stopped in front of her and a front door was opened from inside for her.
She looked inside little tilting her body and saw Abhimanyu, and hopped in.
"Wear your seat belt" he said before starting driving, his eyes on the road.
She did as he said.
"Good morning Sir," she greeted him to which he nodded in response.
After a minute or so of silence Abhimanyu asked her if she had her breakfast to which she replied no as an answer.
"let's eat something in the cafeteria. I am hungry" he said to her without looking at her.
"Okay," she replied hesitated.
Abhimanyu looked at her from the corner of his eyes. He do not know why, but she is looking beautiful to him today.
He was thinking what is he doing now? Why he has come to pick his mere employee? Why ?
He could hear his heartbeat beating fast when thinking about it. Maybe his heart knows.
MAYBE.....
