After dinner, most of them went back to the living room and some stay at the kitchen sitting at the bar counter, they are Ru Qing and her fiancé and Zhou Zhu Yao.
They are having light alcohol drinks except for Ru Qing's fiancé who need to drive later.
Bai Yi Yang stay in the kitchen to cut fruits before leaving some for the 3 people. Bai Yi Yang told them to take what they want to drink and eat from the fridge before going out to the living room.
The children is gathered together and watch horror movie while Zhang Yong and Bai Yi Chen is chatting with the old couple. Bai Yi Yang put down the fruits platter on the table and tell the children to eat before sitting on the carpet next to Grandma Cui.
"Yi Chen said that you got quite a few awards at school and even deliver a speech. Who knows that you are quite smart too." Old man Cui said to Bai Yi Yang like a tone used to an old friend rather than towards a younger generation.
"I have always been smart. Grandpa, it's only you who didn't know." Bai Yi Yang said and munch on the watermelon. Old man Cui laugh and point at her wittiness.
"But Yi Chen is smart too, he placed 3rd in our batch and even did a performance, my speech is far more boring." Bai Yi Yang said and praise Bai Yi Chen too.
"I don't understand being smart and outstanding like you two. I was just mediocre when in school." Zhang Yong said and laugh.
Then, they start talking about their school days. Grandma Cui and Grandpa Cui have quite a significantly long family history, their family is an old money so their days was not so unbearable. But, compared to nowadays, the contrast is so big that they can't even imagine living in that kind of world.
"Have you served in the army Grandpa?" Bai Yi Yang ask.
"He served for a few years. When most of the bans are lifted, he quit and became a businessman like the rest of his brothers." Grandma Cui said.
"My family used to live overseas when I was a child because my grandfather send my father to study overseas when my parents just married. We planned to settle overseas but then my father's brother passed away one after another, so my father need to return home to continue the business. I have 2 older brothers, they are going to continue the business so I enter the army. It was hard doing business back then so our family business declined a lot. In the end, I quit from the army and we 3 brothers rebuild our family empire. It was later when our business stabilise did I study law, in fact I became a lawyer after I was 40." Grandpa Cui narrate and the 3 young people listen in awe.
Bai Yi Yang can imagine that doing business nowadays should be much easier than back then. Grandpa Cui and the Cui family is also amazing.
"My grandfather told me that the Cui family used to be scholars. Grandpa Cui becoming lawyer at a late age was quite famous." Zhang Yong said.
"Out of my 3 brothers, I am the less studious, that's why they left we with the business. My late eldest brother was a respected professor before he passed away more than 5 years ago. My second brother moved overseas long time ago and still studying and doing research to this day. They don't care about the family business anymore once I took over, they dump it all on me." Old man Cui laugh and the twins nod in interest.
The Cui family must really love studying. This kind of things should have been passed to their gene too.
For a while, they talked about the Cui and Zhang family history and how they took hold of City Nan this day. It's basically story about great people in building their business empire.
"Our Cui and Zhang family is considered still new. If you want to know which family who is always on top before the last emperor reign, then it's the Dongfang family in City Zhou.They managed to adapt to all kind of environments and becoming more prosperous each year. I can only say that good genes really run in their family. The current family head of Dongfang family is still Dongfang Old Master in name but I have met him a few times, he said that his grandson has long surpasses him. Young men these days are more scary than monsters. Too capable." Old man Cui said and shake his head.
"If we talk about Dongfang family then we must talk about Mr.Lin. I heard, Dongfang Group has obtained approval from City Nan's government to operate their own airport here. It's a big achievement." Zhang Yong said. This Mr.Lin he talked about is Dongfang Lin, Natalie Cui's husband. Can be said, the Cui family is also basking in limelight nowadays in City Nan.
"About that matter, I really need to praise my grandson-in-law. He have been working for this for more than a year now so that he can operate the branch here. It is not easy for them to often going back and forth to City Zhou. He wanted to develop here." Old man Cui said proudly. Who is the Dongfang family and who is the Cui family? For Dongfang Lin to be willing to go to a great length and develop in City Nan, he must've love his granddaughter very much.

"The Li family won't be where they are now if not because of Dongfang family, they deserve it." Old man Cui humphed.
"Is the two family in conflict?" Bai Yi Yang eat a slice of orange as she ask. This is like listening to business wars story ah. As an outsider, listening to gossip is quite interesting.
"The two have been at odds for many year. Dongfang family is initially united by marriage, the eldest daughter of Dongfang Old Master, Dongfang Yi married a son of the Li family. This two is my grandson-in-law's parents. Dongfang Yi wanted her husband to follow her and all their children will take the surname Dongfang. Li family was small, they only operate a few bus stations at that time so they agree with a condition that the eldest son will still take surname Li, the rest of the children can have the surname Dongfang. My grandson-in-law is the eldest grandson of the Dongfang family in the genealogy but he actually have a blood older brother with different surname." Old man Cui start narrating and Bai Yi Yang listen with interest.
"Dongfang Yi's husband is polite and obedient, so the Dongfang Old Master feel some guilt for letting his other children take their surname. So, he helped the Li family a lot and the Li family gradually rise in City Nan. Dongfang family has long been in the business and planning to enter City Nan. I think the Li family should have heard this from someone and they quietly plan and move behind the Dongfang family by developing their own airlines company in City Nan. When the Dongfang Family applied for it, they were rejected by the government because only one privately owned airline system is allowed other than the government owned at that time." Old man Cui said.
"So the Li family backstabbed the Dongfang family?" Bai Yi Yang ask.
"The Li family didn't admit it but Dongfang family should be able to guess it. That's how the two family got into bad terms until now. There are words out there that Dongfang Yi and her husband stay married just for convenience, they have long separated with each other. The one surnamed Li even have a mistress. I don't understand them to be honest, why stay married if they don't like each other anymore." Old man Cui complain.
"But my grandson-in-law said that their relationship is good. At least they shouldn't be enemy or hate each other because they look harmonious when I saw them during the wedding. These people ah, for business, they can even cross any line." Old man Cui add again with a sigh.
"They are quite cool then. That's mean their real feeling is less important than their career, they are just career oriented people" Bai Yi Yang add.
"Indeed." Old man Cui nod, he laugh after he look at it in new light.
"Why do you talk about this messy matter of married couples nowadays to Yi Yang and Yi Chen? Be careful lest you taught them something inappropriate." Grandma Cui said to his husband angrily.
Bai Yi Yang and Bai Yi Yang is only 16, they are still too young to know matters like this. What if they got bad impression of married life?
"Ah, this yatou is like one of my old friend, I forgot , I forgot." Old man Cui and Bai Yi Yang also said to Grandma Cui that she don't mind.
"It's still inappropriate. We adults shouldn't have talked about it." Grandma Cui said. Bai Yi Yang nod with a smile and Old man Cui also change the topic. He talked about Bai Yi Yang school life and they eventually start talking about the younger generations in their family. Since it is a younger generation, they have to talk about Mia Cui.
Mia Cui is still on a survival show facing challenges on TV now but they actually is almost finished filming and as expected, she was one of the final contestants. If there is nothing wrong, then she have a very high chance to debut with the new team.
Mia has debuted with a group originally but it wasn't that successful. Then, she and her 2 group mates join this survival show but the two didn't stand out as much as Mia. The first one was eliminated during the second eliminated while the other one was just eliminated, leaving the 20 finalists. They didn't do badly but they weren't in the final lineup choices too. It can be said that they stand out a bit and managed to last that long because of Mia.
In every survival show, there will be groups of people that often team up together, have the same interest in term of music and genre or best friends outside the performances. Mia belong to a group of this good looking group that more strong in term of their dance and performance.
The main character or the one with the highest probability to become number 1 in this show is Qing Xing, she gather the cute and charming kinda contestant. Because she was surrounded with this kind of character that don't really have strong skills, she stand out as an all rounder idol.
In fact, Mia's group is much more talented but the show will focus on their beauty, gorgeous performance and their weaker vocal ability. As for Qing Xing's group, they are mediocre in everything, their dance and vocal wasn't that good in overall except for Qing Xing. But because of their charming and unique character, they are very popular. The show also portrayed how these group of barely passable talent work hard to complete a barely successful performance.
As for the final lineup prediction, there are only 2-3 people in Mia's group, the rest is in Qing Xing's group. It may sounds a bit unfair for the talented contestants but voters usually go for the charming and unique character instead of looking at the real talented one.
That's just how survival show works. How you were portrayed by the camera and editing team will determine whether you will be successful or not.
Even for Mia who has very great talent in dancing, if she didn't have her background and family, the staff won't necessarily give her all these screen time that boasted her popularity.
"Why don't you two pursue the entertainment industry too. Grandpa will support you." Old man Cui said to the twins with a grin. The twins is good looking and their cool and chic character will surely attract fans.
"Grandpa, don't you know that I have stage fright and is socially awkward? And if you see how my gege performed like a flag pole, you will surely change your mind immediately." Bai Yi Yang said in disbelief. She never imagine this kind of thing ever. That's why she look up on those youngsters who is brave enough to face the challenges to become celebrity.
After hearing Bai Yi Yang, they all laugh aloud. Zhang Yong is especially entertained and laugh aloud.
"If you can't go up the stage, can't dance or can't sing. Just be an actor. With your face and bearing, it's enough. You are a fast leaner, go to a few acting class and you will surely do well." Old man Cui said again and Grandma Cui at the side smile, she said that twins indeed look good. If they enter the entertainment circle together, it will be much easier to make them famous because they are special.
"Grandpa, grandma. The way you two talk is as if we are the most good looking." Bai Yi Chen also laugh lightly.
"You two are indeed good looking. If I open an entertainment agency, will you sign with me?" Zhang Yong said, half joking half serious.
"Stop coaxing us, we know that we won't be able to fit in. Being celebrity is so hard, it won't suit us." Bai Yi Yang said.
The group of old and young chat as they eat sliced fruits in the living room. The 3 adults in the kitchen naturally become closer and have drink together.
The children are huddled together watching horror movie. They basically did nothing and everyone stay until it was 9.30 pm to 10.00 pm.
